Meidi is an amazing performer. Not many people could pull of both being such an expressive enthusiastic singer, a fiddle player and being a folky sort.
T’aint everyday we find a later recording that improves on the original that made a tune and song popular. But, here we have a spectacular musician and a hyperkenetic elf joining to get as close to perfection as we can get here on earth.
@@TijnB42 Now that is a clever twist on my comment! I suppose, theoretically we have a choice of two. But in practice we can automatically rule out a 6 foot unquestionable male. That leaves us with an animated, diminutive female as the proper elf. Just to remove all ambiguity, we designate her as elfette. BTW Immediately on seeing this video I happily thought this is one more case, among millions, where the girl of a pair is 10 times as expressive as the guy. Its not a deficiency of us guys, its just nature’s way of enriching the planet. In fact, come to think on it, the whole lyrics of Red Haired Mary are based on the diff between lads and lasses or an elf and an elfette.
