I wear my 8mm Gus Villa cuban chain out sometimes and get stares from almost everyone. Usually rock my 14mm 24" tucked in.. nice to feel and hear that weight. Nothing beats benchmade chains out of Miami 😎
I picked up my 7mm 26” 14k from Rey’s about 2 weeks ago. Norma treated me like I was family, she even texted me pics of the chain being made. The quality work was so sick I placed an order for a 12mm MC bracelet.
What size and karat are you upgrading to? Norma did say that most customers upgrade their chains and bracelets. I’m already thinking that I’ll move up to a 9mm next year if Rona don’t get me. Not only do they do great work, their prices and turn around time beat the other Cuban link makers that I got quotes from. Once I saw the quality of my chain I knew I was going to be ordering a bracelet. I don’t even think I wore it for more than 5 minutes before I was texting Norma. Once the bracelet is in I’ll do a review on both!
Kedah I’m going with 11.4mm 10k 20”. I want the 20 inch chain because I already have a 24” chain. As long as this Rona stuff doesn’t mess up my money I’ll get it soon. Can’t wait to see your review

Norma will text you to confirm your name and shipping address before sending out he chain. Once you sign for the package, she’ll send you a text to let you know she’s got your signature. I know they were pretty booked up when I ordered in March so my guess is they’re still working on your chain. Rey’s a one man show, and it’s worth the wait. I promise!

Depends on what you are looking for. 7mm is probably perfect for everyday wear. The 8mm is slightly bigger than that. My 8mm is heavy but it’s not uncomfortable when I’m wearing it and I wear it almost everyday. It’s usually tucked into my shirt with the sides of the chain visible and people still notice it. I wear it outside of my shirt when I want to be flashy.
I'm talking to Norma right now about possibly getting a 6.8mm, 24 inch. They really are booked out like you said. That's good for them though. I'm glad they're getting more recognition. Because their work is fire, and they really do have great customer service.

I was tripping cause I'm think you gonna see the difference in the newly added links, it's gonna look like trash etc. I called Norma up and she was like, look fam it's going to be nice, Rey been doing this since forever. I got my new bracelet a week later and it was DOPE!!! I mean you couldn't even tell that it was extended. Shiiiid I even forgot that I got it extended, it look likes it was made all at the same time. So long story short... if you're looking for Cubans, Rey is the only place to call up.

I didn’t negotiate on the price. I was happy with the quote I got. If you wanted to haggle it would probably be best to do that in person. But it never hurts to try
I’m 6 feet. Both lengths are good. I just got a 20” which will give you an idea of what the shorter chain will look like. I’ll be posting that vid this week

How big is your custom pendant in inches looks like a good 3-2.5inch and how big did you have to get your bail to fit the 8mm cuban
It’s 2.5” tall and 2.5” wide. The bail size is 10mm to fit around the box lock

Jesus I would do an 8MM for everyday wear and 24 inches in length. Reys is the best . I just got my 10MM and it’s flawless
24 inches is very versatile. I’d go with that. Any size between 7-10 mm and you should be good
