Recap: Hide inside, get as far away as possible, but dont run, you might go out of breath don't eat, drink, sleep, make the room you're in air tight, and put wet fabric over the windows (don't bother barricading it with anything strong) do not take drugs from envelopes (idky you'd have one in the first place) take off all your clothes and put them in a plastic bag don't touch anyone around you, but give anyone help if they are injured or stuck. (BUT STILL DON'T COME INTO CONTACT WITH THEM) -run- WALK as far away from the terrorist(s) as you possibly can, but don't go too far away, you might need medical help (for what ever reason)
This is glorious, been searching for "what should we do in natural disasters?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Qanincoln Zaniam Process - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )? It is a good one of a kind guide for discovering how to survive natural disasters without the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my partner got excellent success with it.
here’s a recap: If you hear any warnings, or the civil defense siren, seek immediate shelter in a enclosed space, do not hide in cars. If you’re in a car, stop and get in the nearest building. Seal any gaps in doors, windows, vents, etc, with wet cloths or tape to prevent chemicals from coming in. Turn off any ventilation, air conditioning, or central heating Switch off the gas supply at the mains Listen to the radio for further instructions Use your smartphone as little as possible to ease network congestion Do not light any flames, smoke , or switch any light switches, as this may cause an explosion Do not go to your child’s school, as the teachers have had special training for a scenario like this If you’re caught up in a chemical attack, cover your eyes, nose, and mouth, and other exposed areas if possible Get as far away as you can from the attack, but do not run, so you can keep your breathing and heart rate normal. Do not go too far from the attack, so emergency services can arrive and help Do not use your phone as this will overload the telephone network If a liquid or powder from a package or envelope has got on your person, put it in a plastic bag, trying to touch it as little as possible , seal the bag in the most airtight way possible Alert the authorities and follow their instructions Switch off the ventilation system immediately Close all doors and evacuate the premises Take off all your clothes but underwear and bras, and put them in a plastic bag and seal it tight Wash the parts of your body that came in contact with the substance Do not drink, eat, smoke, or come in contact with anyone else Wait for the emergency services to arrive If you find yourself at the site of the attack, try your best to escape Get as far away as possible and help those nearby without touching them If you fail to escape, lock yourself indoors, switch off the lights and turn off any devices (eg. phones, iPads, etc.) do not open and doors or windows and lie on the floor If your outside, seek shelter behind a wall or pillar Stop your phone from vibrating or ringing to reduce noise. Alert the police and approach them, with your hands raised and your palms showing In all instances, follow the advice of local authorities

IDT (I Don't Think) damp cloths will work during any tear gas attacks would work...
If in doubt, wear a gas mask rated to standards.
I think the cloth soaks up any outside chemicals so if you need to wear a gas mask.
