Sir Driving gear(small-12 teeth) aur driven gear( big-24 teeth) ke bichme backlash rakhna he to hame konsa gear ki module ki hisab se rakhna he. Sir plz example Sath bataiye.

Sir, please tell me,
Which gear we can choose for module,
Pinion,or girth gear (small gear or big gear).
Both have same value you can select any one
If my drive gear is small and driven gear is big for which one I should calculate backlash on those condition

Need a question on the backless. If drive and driven gear have different module so how we calculate accepted backless between both gear teeth. Pls suggest.
Firstly if two gear are in mesh it is necessary that both of them have same module.
