I have a friend who has been called "Player Name" since September 2022 (because of the glitch) and I can guarantee you she's been waiting for this feature for a long long while.
I didn't realize so many people were stuck with a wrong name, I'm really happy for everyone who will be able to fix their name!

OMG praise. I’ve got easily 500 hours in this game and I’ve been “player name” since I started playing.
I just started the game after at first thinking this game was going to be abandoned quickly.
But since its not and its a realky fun version of animal crossing but with Disney characters.
I hope winnie the pooh gets added, being able to decorate and have a house in the 100 acre woods is what kid me wanted every time i watched those movies on VHS.

Yes please! 🙏🏻 I always loved seeing him in Kingdom Hearts, and I know Sora isn't likely to appear, but I think Pooh bear has a good chance! Gameloft could also add honey to the game as an ingredient, but you know Pooh wouldn't be able to keep his paws to himself. Silly old bear! 😆🍯🐻

I want them to sort out the MULTIPLAYER… be able to help your friends FARM.. DIG .. PICKAXE .. PLANT… and another thing… Be Able up sell Unwanted items to Scrooge for money OR be able to give ur friends unwanted items that you have what they Don’t !! Be Able to Add items with permission from your friends … the list is Endlesz .. but PLEASE PLEASE Fix the Multiplayer .. it doesn’t matter if people pickaxe because it grows back after a While 🙄🙄
They did say back in November more features will be added to multiplayer just didn't specify when.

They may be working on how to fix it without people wrecking anyone else’s valley
digging, pick axe, planting even harvesting things like fruit etc that spawn will grow back will not wreck peoples valleys let us somehow wrap or bag objects so we can share them and then only things wrapped could be picked up by someone visiting @@ChicagoMel23
They are not going to add the ability to give away Scrooge store items that they do not have.
QOL change: they fixed taking us to the top of the list in decorating mode. Now they need to fix it in crafting mode. Playing on a controller and crafting something and then being taken alllll the way back to the top….it takes forever to get back down to where you left off.
I am actually pretty excited about the name change update. When I started there was a glitch that no matter how many time I made a new file my in game name was always "Player Name". This was on the switch, but It wasn't just isolated to the switch, my friend who plays on a PS4 also had the same glitch. No matter what name we input, it would think we didnt put anything in and call us Player Name.
The name change is a big update for me! When I started Dreamlight Valley I played on Xbox Game Pass first and put as my name as GGtrial just to test it out not realizing you couldnt change your name lol. This is big news, at least for me 😊
I'm actually happy about the name change because mines since I started playing the game has said PLAYER NAME 😔 thats been disappointing so I'm actually happy about this change.
I only have 3000 of space and I'm already decorated 1000 hopefully they add more space to the game so I can fully decorate my islands
Sadly, that’s a console problem, not a game issue. For example, the Switch probably can’t handle more than 3000.
@@Morri78This. Everyone on switch complaining about the item limit needs to realize if they added 6000 items to their valley like everyone else their game would be unplayable. It's simply not built to handle that much stress. It's a smaller, weaker system by design because that is a necessary tradeoff for the console to be portable.
The only way that switch players will be able to raise their item limits is by getting the game on a different platform because the switch is not capable of that.
When people say, like in the video, they see games so much bigger that run fine, it's forgetting that those games are rendering mostly static immovable items. It's harder for games like ddlv to run like that because everything is moveable and interactive. Look at the sims, even on pc when you add a lot of items to a lot there is lag for this reason.
Timebending... you shoukd not have to spam the button. It can give you carpal tunnel. They should have you just hold the button down.
Wow... I didn't even realise but yeah we do need a lot of quality of life changes especially a fix for Dreamsnap voting, and an update to the camera mode and pretty much everything else mentioned in this video I guess
The name change option is especially something that's been asked for by trans or nonbinary players who got stuck with using their deadname or go by more than one name and want to be able to switch between them

I wish they would make moonstones a little cheaper. I am new to the game & and can not compete in all dream snaps because I don't have enough items. I would like to purchase more from premium shop, but moonstones are ridiculous expensive!
I would definitely recommend star path for getting lots of good furniture items,its a very good deal:)
YESS! The touch of magic in dreamsnaps is something I would love to see. For the halloween challenge I made the whole looks of the three sanderson sisters and got blocked when tried to submit 😭

I really hope, Gameloft fixed the issues with Dreamsnaps. My daughter for example has the Problem, that she never earned Moonstones since the beginning... She also have very different themes than we all have, sometimes she has our Theme 3 weeks later. I assume, this is why we see so often Dreamsnaps in the voting, that's far away from the mandatory Theme we have though....

I wish we could use touch of magic items in dreamsnaps and I wish they gave us more options of things to craft and design with touch of magic
I would love if they added were we can sell the items we bought multiple of in Scrooge’s store, plus we should have more full outfits again in the front windows of the store.
Even though I don't plan on using the name thing, it's a great option to have! This game is all about personalization, creativity and role playing so any small additions that add to that is welcome! Also, I think they don't ask for feedback on Scrooge's store because they see all the things written online already and are aware and working on ways to implement it without getting people's hopes up. No one's talking about star paths so they needed to get feedback for it. Also, star paths make them money and Scrooge's store doesn't so that's most likely why it's a priority.

It would be better like if they could get the Disney characters , like to change what they are saying to us.

I can’t wait to not be Player Name anymore!! I got an email, in response to my ticket, back in October ‘22 saying this feature was coming soon. I’m not sure over a year is soon, but thank goodness I’ll be able to change it now!
Number one wanted issue: fix the cooking menus. Implement a recipe search feature so we don't have to guess whether a recipe is an entrée or an appetizer and scroll all the way down only to realize we are in the wrong category. Also add the meat category to the ingredient list like they should've done from the start.
Number two issue: Fix the Scrooge store furniture section so new stuff spawns daily instead of monthly.
Definitely need more clothes in scrooge shop especially shoes & accessories

I am on the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo fans are waiting for the new game console to come out or waiting for Nintendo direct to announce when the new console is coming and so i think thats why they are probably not going to raise the item limit from 3000 to 6000 on the Switch . I wish they could . I did have almost 4 biome completed and i can't finish .

I’m one of the item limits people. I’m on switch so will never be able to fully decorate my valley.😅 Also now that I see Palia with diagonal placement I want that too 😂

Regarding fragments it took me over two weeks of playing every day to get the last fragment. Turns out, I needed to play at a different time of day than usual. Hopefully, this helps someone.

I have been playing on my Switch with my 6000 PC item limit maxed and have only crashed once in a month. The stability is there. Camera needs better filters and non-selfie mode, Time bending orbs are loud and ugly. Toggle off! I am excited about the name change to be "Decorista" in game. Looking forward to the update!

I've noticed something this Dreamsnap week: entries that were taken in eve's house are almost always paired against other entries taken in eve's house
So, the name change is helpful for multiple reasons 😊 for one, Apple users are stuck with their Apple ID username and I didn’t know that so mine is very strange to me (I have numbers in mine for example and it annoys me) and it would also be great for queer people for example genderfluid people or trans people that change their name regularly or are testing out names in a safe place. I really like that it will be an option :D
They should have a separate team working on just developing new clothing and furniture items exclusively. I can’t imagine they don’t have enough resources to do that and it would be hugely worth their time and effort.
I also desperately want a toggle for item spawns. I know the vacuum is a partial solution but time bending is so difficult and not everyone has the dlc anyway. I’m tired of cleaning up constantly
I will say that I remember a Facebook thread just a few days ago that had people who made a silly name or even just "name" for their name and were desperate to change it, so I'm happy for them. I really want Scrooge store fixes and old Star Paths revisited.
Decorating on the switch is alittle tedious i wish we could change our sensitivity😮💨🙏🏽 trying to place objects is harder work than it needs to be unless anyone has tips!
I don’t mind the orbs so much, but the scramble coin prompts are getting on my nerves. Once you finish the path they should stop

I don’t know who is responsible, Sony or DDV but I hate that our IGNs are on our Dreamsnaps. I don’t think it’s fair to know who you are voting for! I wouldn’t worry about your views. A lot of us also play Palia and they just got a huge update. That will pass.

Mr Star I agree with you - I think Scrooge's Shop should be bigger - with less repeated items on the main floor - more clothing options- I would like more wall paper- flooring options- Why do both Scrooge shops have to sell the same items why cant they have different items - for male characters more clothing options - for female characters more costumes - dresses- jewelry - hair styles - shoes- hats- there are so many disney movies that the items from these movies should come to Scrooge's shop quicker- why not one month focus on Cinderella - the next month Snow White- and so forth -we don't 10,000 different couches !!!!!!
In regards to decorating we need more options - more flowers- trees - more paths - more fencing- more fountains - more ways to let our valley's shine
In regards to dreamsnaps I want things to be semetrical (I hope I spelled that right) it drives me crazy - better camera angles and the characters sitting longer - voting really needs to be fixed and I feel like touch of magic should be added- more poses
With Multiplayer I think we should have the option to drop items - furniture for our friends -
I would also like to see in the Premium Shop new items - if they are going to have two pages- Bring back Starpath items in the Premium Shop for new players to buy --
I still love the game but I think if these things are improved it would make it even better

There is a door in the Scrooge store besides the front door. Why can't they make that a realm like room where all the premium shop items are there all the time? You'd be able to catch up on getting every single one of the premium items. And maybe rework Scrooge's shop to where it has more floors like the house, so everything is available, but you can figure our what you already have better and can get what you don't easier.
I would love to see past star path items in the vault in his store! That would be cool!
Yes, I just think it might be a better way of doing it. And you get free moonstones so you'd be able to buy things when you can without the stress of missing out. Some people just don't have the money to buy moonstones.@@Gamermomma0825
I would most like for them to fix bugged/ broken items before releasing more stuff. (one example of many: There are literally 2 monkeys that i can't even feed bc they keep disappearing into the freaking walls! Like, how did they not catch this in testing before release? )
Next, the feature i most want is to be able to TURN OFF item spawn so i can enjoy my game instead of CONSTANTLY cleaning & picking crap up. I just want to be able to design a cute valley & home, surrounded by a franchise that i love, but instead i have to run around and clear crap out of the way before i can even play. It's so frustrating.
Multiplayer is a joke as well. It's completely neutered. Give us the ability to grant our visitors permission to at least help us clean up, ffs.

This game is mainly decorating and for them not to allow us to place the amount of items we want is disappointing i still have so many quest because i decorate so much its the best part of game to me they need to plz fix the sandbox and ofcourse the scrooge shop and the completionist list glitches
The name change will be a issue if you have the same name as a another character

Are Gameloft stupid cos I have 33M Coins yet they are star coins and yet we have to use our precious Moonstones to pay for Star Path where it makes common logical sense to use Coins to pay for Star Path it's not called the Moon Path or Stone Path it's called the Star Path Ursula Bundle photo part of her quest has been broken on me for past 4 months the game crashes everytime I switch from Eternity Isle to the Valley it's year 2024 not 1994 game crashes should be a thing of the past and yet game crashes hardly existed in the 90s and what about an Unlimited item count and 6 months now the Fred the critters rewards been broken on me and when I had blocked both Forgotten Lands entrances so I was able to decoreate The Lands since Update 2 all those gamers who moaned about those flames well i decorated around them which is what real intelligent gamers can do Dreamsnaps Voting is what needs sorting out the algorithm of the voting system is broken if its an outfit challenge then show us your outfits from top to bottom and not just your top halfs to all those selfie lovers that's mainly my constructive criticism for Gameloft and I'm angry as hell with their discrimination towards other countries for the Sweepstakes Competitions Gameloft we have enough discrimination in the real world and you're discriminatiing all other nations that are compatible of entering USA only thats not fair of them to bring discrimination into Sweepstakes Competition they should be ashamed of themselves and they lied to us saying that Merlin and Donald Duck 3rd attires being unlocked by playing special quest unlocking both characters attires via the Premium Shop is hardly what i call Special Quest is it so has anybody challenged them for their lies and deceit and corruption and we already have corrupted Politicians who do nothing but lie lie lie yet I know I've lost out on a whole month's worth of rewards cos I couldn't claim them in time as my gaming subscription had ran out and that not even my main issue the last 3 Critters are not acknowledging that I've fed them 2x and game dont give me the critters it happened on the last 3 Critters on main Valley and I'm also fed up of the Critters bugging out acting like as if they's having a sex orgy with my chosen companion you dont see a rainbow fox going in out in out shake it all about on a Cobra snake this is why i believe this game should be rating at least a 15 you have Donald duck still tantrumming everytime he falls over or fails to catch a fish i mean grow up Maui the Demigod Shapeshifter a real Skinwalker dont do what he does amd the Rabbits sort them out as well like in real life they go jumping up amd down clapping when theys want feeding the realms need to stop robbing me of Glimmer amd Mist when they put the locations in impossible to reach locations yet if everybody used their Moonstones sparingly like i have done I've never had to worry about low Moonstones cos I'm tight with using them so i never intend on buying Moonstones ever cos Dreamsnaps in my POV has expanded my reasoning to keep coming back entering as many competitions although just miss 1 Dreamsnap opportunity you end up missing out on 2 weeks of rewards which isn't fair either obviously you miss one weeks vote for not entering amd then you have to wait a 2nd week before yous get the rewards for the following weeks dreamsnap so I've learned just dont miss one week Dreamsnap even if it is a challenge i hated doing lol after all i got my best Dreamsnap result a couple of weeks ago 403rd place i love the movie themed decor challenges but the outfit challenges are so MEH boring and tedious as well but that's just based on my experience so I'd appreciate it if no snowflakes report me for speaking the truth and for speaking my POV of the game
