I love this map actually, all the relics in one place so you can fight for them before castle age, sure its super easy to defend but i feel on really long games resources run out and no trade potential at all unless you fight in the middle
Speaking of maps, something I liked in aoe2, and not sure if 4 has it but I’ll still get this anyway, are the world maps. I always think that having the map represent somewhat of a real world layout is especially neat in these games

Ha I just thought of a good way to troll your own team. Stone wall them in with no gate for the whole game and keep telling then that you will get around to making a gate but you never will. I'd never do that but it would be annoying af

Nations with natural gold income seem to dominate this map. English, HRE if they get some relics, Rus, etc.

Is a fun map, with big teams either really short games or really long in my experience.
This map would be better if there was a neutral trade post in the middle.
