That was a pleasure to hear! I hope you have enough money with you .;-) The most known heritage railway in Norway is "Krøderbanen", a 26 km long railway from Vikersund to Krøderen. (A bit west of Oslo) In the summer season you can take a trip with the steamtrain at this railway every Sunday. This year they have a steam locomotive exactly like the "King Haakon" in service. Just ask if you have questions. :-) Greetings!
'Buster' the steam roler was in the dads army episode 'Everybodys trucking' and the threashing machine was used in the dads army episode 'all is safely gathered in'. Great video.
Thanks a lot for an interesting video! For a Norwegian it is great to see 2 engines from our own country! ("Peer Gynt" and "King Haakon VII" ) Greetings! :-)
Does make me a little sad these days that King Haakon is still in his Tarzan film disguise and not running anymore, such a beautiful engine I took for granted
I think I've been on that one when I went to Oslo on the Oriana back in 2008. Also did the one near Kristensand. This time we're hoping to do railway tours from Flam and Bergen. The Bergen one is steam, I believe.
