There must be a way to complain about the servers/submit error reports: this is happening through the normal play of cards. It should be fixed.

Lol is that a joke? Arena is intentionally designed to cripple if you try any sort of significant combo, they do it to prevent combo decks which they dont want people to play. Attempting to play any number of commonplace combos will lock the game out. Tbh im impressed the tapper let Chris tap a nyxbloom land for 2k mana, generally if I would get over 3~4 nyxbloom on the field the game would just crash from being unable to calculate mana costs.

Another reason I quit playing arena… the fact you can only have 250 permanents on the field, rigged hands, rigged deck matching, rigged shuffling, can’t play combos, or 1000 year storm effects… the servers were trash a year ago and clearly they are worst now. Love your content Chris but hate arena. I just play paper. 😅

@@nickna7387 I don't know about it being easy and not wanting to do it. Magic is an incredibly complex game, where each piece of the game changes the game. I make mistakes with only 2-3 cards on the battlefield, and the client has to keep otrack of not only all the effects and interactions on the board, but also all the potential possible interactions (able to cast, target, activate, modify etc.) all at the same time. I'm glad it's working pretty reliably enough that I get to enjoy the game. I would love to see "repeat action" or "record sequence" into "repeat sequence x times" and "auto target" or "always target" options for combo to be more viable.

Interesting showcase of how the Arena timer works, it continues counting down and whenever you cast something it adds time. And then breaking the servers so hard it doesn't even force a draw, it just doesn't give an end screen at all.

Mana multipliers like nyxbloom and mirari's wake combined with color fixers like leyline or chromatic lamp totally hose the servers. It's been a known issue for YEARS. It's something to do with the autotapper running through an exponential number of combinations to figure out what's activatable and what's not, I'm pretty sure, because it lags horribly any time you get priority, rather than with anything actually on the stack.
Take out the leyline and use flexible lands and it'll work MUCH better on arena

As for crashing the game, it's so sad that companies rely on Unity from the beginning, not realizing that their project would some time in the future just outgrow the capabilities of the engine it was build upon and it will in turn limit their games in what it can do. Same is for MTG: Arena and with Escape From Tarkov, sadly.

i really wish you would use the artifact that you pay between 2-4 mana to copy target spell you cast (depending on what type it is) as a means to double your spells. When you're paying X+Y where X=X and Y= colored mana pips. As long as you are paying more than 5 for X you're profiting from having it doubled. On top of that you can do your huge X=18 and copy it to prevent it from being countered.

I've been having so much fun using doppelgang + primal amulet. Able to make X less but still get hundreds of copies without crashing the servers. Well most of the time not crashing the servers.

Does Chris just edit out the games he plays against actual Timeless decks? I’ve said this before and I’ll probably say it again, it would be nice to see his crazy janky stuff happen against an opponent actually playing a real deck. I know he has, because I have seen videos where he is playing at mythic ranking, but I can’t recall a historic or timeless video recently where he plays a single game against someone who is playing a deck that’s part of the meta game that seemingly everyone else plays in.

Funny story, Wizards servers can't handle more than 4 Nyxbloom ancients. Crashes after 6 ancients .So that plus shrine to Nyx is your problem I think.

the servers dying over x=10 is because youre making 1000 permanents, which the game cant handle calculating due to the token cap being 255

I think the problem is copying the Nyxbloom, since the game can't handle tripling the mana that a land gives so many times. I remember that copying The World Tree also lags the game due to the auto-tapper. Maybe the game can handle casting dopplegang for x=10+ but not copying the Nyxbloom?
I think it's the multiple instances of allowing a land to tap for mana of any color by having so many Leylines of the Guildpact.
I haven't played it in a while but I believe we experience some slight lag if we have 2 permanents that allow lands to tap for any color, like a World Tree and a Chromatic Lantern. Now imagine with 8 Leylines.
The code for tokens seems to be broken these days. I’ve had multiple games where it just wouldn’t create any more tokens for me. I’d attack in with rabble rousing or use the horn of Gondor tapped with Ojer on the field and the game wouldn’t create any more tokens
There's a 255 token limit so you may have been hitting that.
There's a limit to tokens on Arena because Scute Swarm broke the servers.

I feel like your decks are just channel with some other bonuses. You have tutors for channel, and then once you play it you win. This makes the decks kind of boring in my opinion, because you're not showcasing some cool combos, just channel giving you as much mana as you want.
I dont know much about which cards are legal in timeless, but why ojer instead of mondrak? Mondrak doubles all your tokens...ojer just does creature tokens
