Fratianno was backstage at the Westchester Theater because he had a connection to Sinatra, but was working in cahoots with Greg DePalma and the Gambinos in a scheme to get Frank to perform there for free, to supposedly benefit an organization that had honored Sinatra as a Maltese Knight. Sinatra's last manager was one of the partners in the theater ownership, although he was really just a front man for shares actually owned by the Mob.

Just curious if anyone beside myself, thinks that Virginia Hill's brother is the person who killed Siegel. He was a Marine, and would certainly have been familiar with M1 Carbines and the trigger assembly mod needed to turn one into full-auto. It's a simple deal, the only downside is that once you pull the trigger, it won't stop firing until it runs out of ammo, and that usually happens when the slide/bolt assembly pops out of its groove. I realize at least one witness heard a car leaving the area, but the fact that Alan Smiley was sitting close enough to have a slug go through his jacket sleeve makes me wonder if he would have been considered expendable. Had Siegal caused enough grief with his casino costs and the wire service thing that they didn't care if he lived or died? Did Siegel make eyes at Chick Hill's wife? Did Gianni Russo witness the whole thing? We'll almost certainly never know.

The Los Angeles family under Jack Dragna from 1931-1956 was a legit family with about 50-75 made guys. It was after Dragna’s death that the family would decline until the late 1980’s until there was pretty much no members left then. Also it was Vito Genovese not Albert Anastasia who wanted to take over the family from Frank Costello and waited until Willie Moretti was killed before Genovese made his move ‘on Costello. Anastasia was in a total different family. There’s a few things this guy said that are inaccurate.

Anastasia was taken out by Gambino.
