@rockspowersports When you have the diff lock engaged, if you need/want full power/acceleration, you just have to hit and hold the start/override switch…doing so disables the diff lock speed limiter! When doing so, the lcd display changes from the big numbers that indicate your speed to small 00 with arrows in between as they go around the “box” that the big speedometer numbers usually appear in!
@Thomas Langton It looks like Honda has discontinued that timing chain. Here is an option it’s a DID chain which is a good brand. www.ebay.com/itm/334642935028?epid=220642198&hash=item4dea45f4f4:g:VtYAAOSwSENhnxCp
@@thomaslangton7099 No problem. Those old 350’s are usually bullet proof. Did the timing chain actually let go or are you just changing it because your already in there?
@@rockspowersports it skipped and is ruined from what I’ve been told but to me it looks just fine but am gonna buy a new one as I need a new piston and rings as well as carb cause it leaks I may also have to do valve seals but not sure
@@rockspowersports last time I had it running before I had stored it I took it out and the next day it would turn over but no compression kinda feeling and took it to a buddy and he said the timing jumped way out of whack so he re timed it and it smokes super bad so hopefully I can stop it from doing all that an have it for another 30 or more years
I have bought a 04 locked up kodiak for 500 bucks. Tore into it and the crank is shot. Will only an 03 or 04 motor fit or will the ones with irs fit too?
@@briangabriel4165 It’s helpful when you’ve done quite a few of them for sure! And these single cam 2 valve engines are pretty easy to work on. The topend can be taken off in the frame so that saves a lot of time.

Much appreciated!
They are an amazing little quad. !!
Love the loop! More of that please ...vancouver bc wave!
It would be a good time to do that 450/400 comparison video
@WhoDaBoss1302 It would be but, I don’t have any 400 runners right now.
Great job !!! im excited

Don’t give that back to him. He doesn’t deserve it if he can’t even change the oil on it. People like that drive me crazy.
@Joe Rutkowsky He said he is going to start servicing it regularly.
Man, I hope you changed the fluids before you gave it back to him !

Nice
How much would this cost to get done? Thinking of getting my 450 rebuilt
This was about $300 in labor and around $200 in parts.
That’s very reasonable ☃️👍👍

Hey rock I was wondering if you knew where I could get a timing chain for a 1987 Honda 350 fourtrax 4x4

I’m not 100% sure but I don’t believe the irs engines will work due to the location of the rear output shaft.
@@rockspowersports good to know thanks
It’s been a minute since your last video
Yes it has… just been alot going on and not a lot of working in the garage lately.
How long did that take you?
@BRIAN Gabriel Charged for 3 hours of labor.
@Rocks Powersports that's why you pay a professional. That would probably be a 2 day job for most a day we'd have left over pieces when we're done lol
