Philips Radio RL247 - Evening AM Band Scan

A very rare PHILIPS Prince Deluxe - AL247 radio to find on the internet. Intro and specifications of the Radio. Medium Wave/AM scan with reception quality and sensitivity. Sound quality on the radio is excellent. Easy to tune and it locks the station very well. It requires 4 D cell batteries and also works on 230 volt power.
Enjoyed making the review of this excellent piece of performance and signal hungry receiver.

Late 1980s model. Some sets were transistor and some IC based. AL series started in 1980.

Ha, ha! It is MW. So no difference with antenna. You need antenna for SW and FM.

@@pradeepkumarpanda7626 i have XHDATA-901 radio. Its performance in FM and SW is very good but not in MW even after connecting to long antenna wire. Don't know how i can succeed in getting better MW signals

Yes coming MW it only works powerfully for only one local station and day to day i am experiencing that the thing you talked about SW, i.e i can only listen to china , and some bbc channels that too if it is nearby like Singapore and middle East.
