Just got mine. Yep it's really great. I've had a squier VM fretless with the ebanol fretboard, a sire v9 fretless but they both felt a bit synthetic. This is a great really nice and warm sounding bass at a fantastic price.
I bought this recently. I am a beginner and it is my second bass. It is a CRAZY good value for the money. Beautiful, not a single bad thing in build quality, well setup as well AND very fun to play. Only downside is that it is VERY heavy. The pickups sounds fine to me, but I don't have much of an reference. Edit: No sorry it is the JB-40 I got. What is the difference (except no pickguard)? :D

Flatwounds von Fender aufgezogen, Mechaniken (3 links, eine rechts, Kopfplatte dazu umgeschreinert auf "MusicMan-Style") von Sandberg und eine massive Brücke in gold von GÖLDO. Das Teil ist der Hammer...
Looks like apart from pickguard, it's got a laurel fretboard. I have jb40fl and it's pau ferro, which is considered one of the best woods for fretless unfinished fretboards

@@fddd8886 in the meantime they changed the fretboard wood of the jb40fl to laurel....so the only difference is the pickguard.
@@MrMissingReel Also if you remove the pickguard it won't look like the JB -40FL because the cavity for the middle pickup is bigger.
