I have been looking at your kits because of the Worlds Worst Fishing Channel on YT. Once the commodity markets rebound from the Covid-19 pandemic I can't wait to hit the buy button!
Great Show.... Ive already made me some demo marbling. I went to local hobby shop and got some wooden dowel rods and primed them... will get the water marbling next month... Yalls 35% off on kits and free shippin about whiped me out lol
After the marbling is done, would you do a thread wrap on the ends? If so, that thread would need to be epoxied. So, would you epoxy just the thread or would you go over the marbled area as well?
If there is still enough paint on the water surface, leave the first cork in there, and dip another one. Add a bit more paint if needed. Or you could make a jig to dip more than one piece at a time. The pieces will be better matched.
I'm learning greatly from the videos. I'm looking forward to making rods for friends and family. I definitely will build my 1st rod for my son who graduated from UCLA this year.what is you recommendation for a great all around rod for a first time builder? BTW- Nothings too good for my son if you get my meaning!
@@MudHoleCustomTackle I ordered a turn key kit. It's back ordered for like 3-4 weeks... man, I'm having bad luck so far with Mud Hole. Didnt get a catalog for 3 months after ordering several times, back ordered orders, this message 2 months after asking the question... Everyone on the Mud Hole FB forum raving about how awesome you are! I gotta hope this is a bad isolated incident(s).

Why wouldn’t you dip both piece’s first and then add magic marble then remove the pieces together and get the same result.
Would love maybe to try dipping a whole blank
Is it possible to mix the powder pigment to create other colors
what do you guys use to paint your whole rod? krylon fusion still?
Cody, you can do the krylon fusion or a number of guys are painting with automotive grade while being sure to add a flex agent to the paint.
Are the “CRV water holders” for sale? 😂
