Hi, I'm trying to learn RDM well. You did amazing! Question, does potting midway in the fight like seen in this video better than at the start? Also, is it better to hold off on melee combo when the gauge is full or use as soon as the gauge fills?
it's better to pot on a 2minute window vs the opener if it doesn't lose you a pot usage for example, if you kill a boss at ~6:30-7:00 (like we do in p12p1 this tier), you should be potting at 0 and 6 since you cannot feasibly pot at 2 min and get another full usage however, in a fight like p10s, where we'll kill at ~8:30, its better to pot at 2 minutes and 8 minutes p9s is a weird exception because theres downtime that pushes a buff window to ~xx:30, so you can afford to pot at 1:55 and 6:25 (like i do in the video), despite the shorter killtime your melee combo priority system is to avoid overcapping > movement for a mechanic > for buff window value >>> to maximise proc value
Those are some really impressive rates, regardless of bard/sch. You think this'll get beaten at any point? Also, not here to talk caster balance since its a dead horse, but how far down do you think the killtime would go with a blackmage here? Would this genuinely kill during peak of burst? Really interested to see what you're going to pull on p12s.
it’s only like 130 ahead of r2, definitely beatable idk how to quantify it exactly but a similarly lucky blm log with proper execution will be ~1k rdps higher which is probably 4-6s or sometbing
