Listening to the slightly (and sometimes not-so-slightly) offset tapping between my two ears feels so gross and uncomfortable in ways I can't easily describe. Cool video though, it does an excellent job of showing how fucked up this chart is haha
@@Fresca64_ for what it's worth, making it a constant 180 doesn't sync well with the song so I believe it too. But it conveniently does allow me to gauge how fast and slow the attempted BPM changes go.
@@Fresca64_ According to Naoki he was forced to make Paranoia under many restrictions, especially with older equipment not being able to handle stable BPM. The same issue happened to Quick Master, since both songs were made around the same time with older equipment
Just gotta step on the pad when the moving arrow goes inside the stationary arrow
Gonna shove my head in the stationary cab
one thing I'd like to know is: how much of paranoia's bpm skeleton is 'konami fucked up' vs 'naoki fucked up'
yes
I feel like I have gained a needlessly in depth understanding of this song… Thanks?

I love you so much Steve 💗
I think that PARANOiA is honestly my number 1 favorite DDR song, so I'd love to be able to discover the complete history of how it was made.
Jungle music needs to make a comeback imho
What's the point of these BPM shifts in the first place?
Old DDR technology and Konami deciding to keep it
the story goes the song was produced and recorded "live", but i cannot gather a source to confirm this. i believe it, though.
