Marin have good gravel Bikes too, but a i thing that if you use a GRX Shimano Group Set with a pedalier 46-30 and a cassette 11-42 rear with the bycicle frame of Specialized Diverge E5 Comp, using hunt carbon wheels and wtb Sendero Tires is a great idea no?
My grandchildren call me Papa D! Onto my question: What is your opinion of using a solid mountain bike with a 1 x 12 cassette, and replacing the front chain ring (usually a 30 or 32) with a 38 or 40 chain ring to get more speed? I can't afford more than one nice bike, so just changing chain and chain ring back and forth for different terrain would be easy and inexpensive.

Hello, I bought a trek checkpoint alr 5 2023 and as I can see you changed your discs. I’d like to exchange them too. Is that posible? And, do you think this is just an aesthetic change or something else changes • My discs are Shimano SM-RT70, centerlock, 160mm. And I’d like to exchange them for SHIMANO Ultegra R8000 do you think is that possible?
I am not sure if you can exchange them but you could check with whoever you bought the bike from. The Ultegra will work in your bike. If you cannot exchange them you can shop for them and buy them and swap them out yourself.
Bought my first Gravel Bike 2 weeks ago. Checkpoint driftless and it‘s awesome. I didn‘t own a bike for 29 years and now I can‘t go off from it.
