Lester, you and Jami should feel so proud of the hard work you are putting in to LHL. It has been a rollercoaster for you but it looks so beautiful. A labour of love that will bring you serenity and happiness for many years to come xx
They say not to take the trees down. It's their sourse of food sources. They will keep to the one tree until its completely sourced out of food. They then will make their home in the dead trees as well.
The bird is looking for bugs...main source of food. I love them. Lots of different kinds of peckers. My favorite is the Pileated wood pecker. They are very large.
Agreed, diseased or dying. Had a few at my brothers and the trees sadly had to come down. While the woodpecker is beautiful they sure do some damage and the tree may eventually become unstable and break. Great eye for catching that! Good luck!!
Lester, when you take kale from your plant you take it from the bottom, sir, if Jami would’ve seen that she would’ve scolded you in a heartbeat lol I love bald eagles we don’t see many of them around here anymore. They are so beautiful and majestic.
Lester, I sincerely hope that none if the babies ever get attacked by the eagles 😢. The baby goats, all the cats are certainly vulnerable to the eagles 😢.

A farmer friend bottle fed a calf. We were walking across a paddock when a huge cow came galloping across to us! Scared the crap out of me! It was his bottle 'baby' 😂
That's your man Jami ..... Dr. Google had this to say: When woodpeckers put all their focus on a single tree and begin aggressively feeding from it, this usually indicates illness in the tree or bug infestation problem. It sure is nice to see the pond so full - hopefully it's sealed itself and will stay that way. So good to see Jami without her mask and smiling - she is one incredibly strong woman.
I'm sure she'll be without her mask doing things daily at each property. I've noticed Lester gets a few seconds of her while recording in others as well. Bad boy Lester 😂😂.

I have to say, to watch horses gracing in a pasture, just as was caught in this video, brings with it such calmness and soul soothing I totally understand why equine assisted- therapies prove to be such helpful aids for so many human issues, including mental health. I just wanted to say I am happy to see Jami is starting to be a little more comfortable being on camera without her mask for short periods. She looks amazing and just as beautiful as always. From what I have heard about woodpeckers in my years, they peck holes to get to the bugs. They don't kill a tree, but the holes they peck can allow more pests into the tree and can possibly harm the tree, it is rare to actually have to remove a tree because of a woodpecker.
Lester you did a good imitation of Woody the Woodpecker. Several years years ago I had a woodpecker build a hole in the huge willlow in my in my backyard. Then they built a nest and soon they had baby’s. One afternoon after the eggs hatched, and soon in the middle of a beautiful afternoon with no breeze or clouds that section of that tree fell down suddenly. The tree section was covering both the upper and lower patio was covered with the tree,it tore down the electric to the house broke the patio table a small statue, the clay burning vessel, and the section holding the nest. The parents flew off and during the night something took all babies away. The tree guy asked me to come outside, and told me to look at my grass, and it was moving all over my backyard. He told me that when they took down the tree, earwig poured out of the tree and to put down insecticide so they wouldn’t come in my house. That tree might be infected with insects and could come down like mine. If you have a structure nearby, you might watch and consider trimming it back if nothing else. Good luck.
Lester & Jami your home has stunning views thank you for sharing your coffee time. Looking at Stella staring over the pastures she’s so beautiful & her coat is glowing.♥️ It’s such a blessing seeing her recover & be a famous amazing mother to all.
@@jenniferwentland1736 Starla is such a doll I love her. Hey Lester and Jami. The title of the video scared me as i worry so much about all the cats and baby goats running around. Those eagles are circling for a reason... they're hungry.. please keep an extra eye on those precious babies. ❤ I thought for sure something had gotten killed by your video title, " "Eagle Attack". The horses sure looked beautiful out there grazing on the other side of the pond. It looked like a beautiful painting. Sorry i don't know why the woodpecker is eating the tree, but i bet several of your other viewers would know the answer. Hope you all have a good weekend.
I thoughtbthe same thing because of the title of the video!! I know Lester loves the eagles but I just see them as another predator for the smaller babies!!
Lester if you put the panels up you can attach a sprinkler to the top of one of the Center posts and leave a short hose attached to it. Then you just hook another hose to that hose and you can water the whole garden. We did it that way all the time when we had a garden. It works great!

I really enjoy the videos you present to all of us Lester because you provide some information and enjoyment to all of us every day. Have a fantastic time at all of the properties! Love and prayers!
Woodpeckers peck to get Bugs. Maybe check if tree is diseased with bugs. Horses look so majestic. Starla is a unique little girl. Loved video. Blessings to LHL 🙏🫶🥰🫶
Look at them beautiful horses it’s so peaceful and loving. What a beautiful site. Wish I was there to enjoy that beautiful site. God bless sending prayers always.
A beautiful eagle ,poor Tina walking like a old lady, starla the ascape artist,a beautiful view, a woodpecker and coffee on LHL 😅 thats life...and yes i think that tree is going to dy ....thanks for heaving us on your doorstep 👍😘🍀
It may still take several years for a woodpecker's attention to open a tree to enough damage to kill it. The smallest woodpeckers may even extend a tree's life by ridding it of pests, without great damage.
What a lovely video…just relaxin’ & chillaxin’ @ the Greenhouse watching all the animals…Starla coming up to have coffee too is so sweet…I love that Christmas is takin’ a morning dip in the beautiful pond…Stella with her bi-valve ears on alert…the horses grazing in serenity…the Eagle wonderin how to get that Ostrich egg…Tina out & about…Woody Woodpecker..well..doing’ what woodpeckers do….Gorgeous Jami without her mask looks stunning…It’s ALL so good @ LHL’s 🥰
Hi Lester and Jami. Here's an idea for the garden.....putting a wooden pathway between the rows so Jami has something to stand on instead of stepping in mud when it rains. Have the pathway way go down each tier like steps. Have a gate to go in and out of tge garden area. Much love from Ontario, Canada. ❤🇨🇦
my idea would be insects under the bark. Can't believe how big Ruby is now! Makes Dani look little! Eagles are so beautiful in flight. Light and love ya'll ❤
For Jami's garden, if you put T-posts about 2 ft 3 ft away from the center posts, and attach the cattle panels to those, then she could have an aisle to walk down through the middle and you wouldn't have to worry about putting up gates. Just a thought.
Lovely view ,the horses are beautiful ,Tina wings are amazing ,the security coming up the drive way to check in with the boss 😅,thank you both .🐾🐱👋🤗☘️💚
About the fencing between the garden levels, maybe you can leave one open the next level leave the opposite side open and repeat. You can have some plants the vine that way. What a great job You and Jami have done on all three properties.
Lester, I heard thEagles when you first came out focused on Tina. We have a nesting pair here every year at the lake near us. Plus I watch them on live cam in various western states. Kitties need to duck out of site when eagles are around. Love Stella and she loves her goats! I like woodpeckers! I like to watch them peel bark off going for bugs or making nest in trees. We have had a couple of nests here. As long as he doesn't strip the inner bark it will heal. He is going for bugs & grubs. Stella is a good dog! Best check your fences for escape holes. Cheers 👍💕
Hi Lester and Jami You a’lls channels have become my favorite. If I see you post I will pause anything else . I won’t say who was my favorite. They did nothing wrong. Great channel and characters as well.
Lester, really enjoyed your video! Hello Jami! I just love how you talk to all your animals and brightens my late afternoon! Looks absolutely so beautiful and peaceful there! Love y'all and God Bless You!❤️
The wind blowing Tina's feathers is beautiful. She is a sweetheart. ❤❤❤ Everything is just beautiful there. You can see all the hard work that you both put in.😊❤😊
Lester the Woody Woodpecker sound cracked me up 😂 You did a really good job 😂. It must be driving you both crazy not being able to figure out how Starla and Finn get out. It has to be somewhere along the drive way. You have the gate at the end and you always see them coming up the driveway a lot. Maybe they are going through the drain pipe and getting out somewhere on the horse pasture. If you haven’t done so look for tracks. Just a thought. Be safe ❤😊❤
What a glorious morning where you are, and seeing those gee gees graze in the distance ❤ We've woodpeckers, and don't think it'll cause too much harm to the tree. Beautiful kiddies, too. Am catching up with all if your and Jami's vids. Peace and love to you both x
Trees are pretty resilient.. like everything they are actively in the process of dying but doesnt mean they need to be cut down.. I’ve had professionals, say a tree needed to be removed and 20 years later its still standing strong.
Woodpeckers peck to establish territory, find a mate, find insects, or if it's a big hole then a nesting hole. Lol. Just learned that by looking it up. I loved watching Woody Woodpecker as a kid. You had his lil song right as well.
I never thought Id see someone play with a calf like you do, Lester.😄 How sweet and fun!! "Bald Eagle!!.... Bald ass Eagle" 😆😆 That Woody Woodpecker impersonation was GREAT!!🙌😆🤣
Just love Stella and Christmas they are so loving and nurturing to the other animals and oh my love Sadie how much she is a protector. I know the horses are happy to be there all that pretty green grass and how quit it is at LHL
Tex,.loves you Lester he don't mind you in there with them...your birds are funny when they acknowledge you...wow mother nature blessed you with eagles..wow!! What a sight..keep on posting,, love it!!
Man oh man.. Big steps and beautiful changes taking place in this video😊 You guys look fantastic! Longhorn Lester's is thriving HECK Even the porch geese are looking their best. ❤Love you both...
I have watching your channels for a number of years and remember when you all got LHL property. It has gone through an amazing transformation! It really looks like a homestead! So quaint and comfortable looking. I can’t wait till the garden complex comes about!
Woodpeckers feed on insects and larvae that they find within the wood. I love Shel Silverstein. Used to read his stories to my children when they were small.
Evening Lester and Jami. Just a fun awesome video of you both and the animals. Thanks for sharing with us all. Who would have thought curly Kale could be so enticing. Have a great weekend much love and prayers Take care and God Bless 🙏💕🤠👢
Hello, Lester and Jamie, the view of the horse's by the water looks so serin I wish I could just sit there and drink a cup of coffee . Blessings to you and Jamie and all your animals
Oh what a beautiful morning... It is very pretty there. Nice garden area. I'd adore to have some of that kale! When the kids I helped raise (sister and two of my cousins), were little they were intrigued with how dull green kale would instantly turn the prettiest bright blue green! I'd serve it buttered with lemon juice. And they would eat it up! Finances are tighter and tighter for us these days. We're older and I'm disabled, city dwellers. Not ever going to feel right being out of the country life. You kids are soooo blessed. So glad to see Jami running around doing so well now. We don't mind woodpeckers in our brick home...but growing up? Oh my! My daddy tried everything to keep the woodpeckers off the pecky cypress siding he put on our beautifully built home he designed. It looks as if the wp is working up a line of sap...sap can be sweet depending on the tree and season. What an exciting start to the day! I'm just now getting up!
Do you think the ostriches are able to pull the gate locks up with their beaks to open the gates? Love the babies everywhere. Yep sadly Ruby will be your downfall 🫣😂😂 she loves you so much and when she’s the size of Santiana her games and loving is gonna be hard ❤❤❤❤ good catch about the woodpecker and the tree. Starla is so funny and sweet, just be glad she doesn’t run off but stays close to home. I hope she doesn’t ever start to roam down around the river area or get too close to predators is my fear. ❤❤❤❤❤
Lester that absolutely was the call that Woody Woodpecker made. Woodpeckers drill into the bark to eat grubs and bugs that are underneath. They don’t eat the bark. My ex and I used to have them living in the woods at the back of our house, they also will eat peanuts and seeds from a feeder. As a kid I loved the Woody Woodpecker cartoon. I think that Jami is going to have to grow a lot more of that kale for the ostriches if they need luring back to their pastures 🫣
When my nephew was 3 years old he would watch Woody Woodpecker and of course Aunt Kathy and Granny Elizabeth watched it with him. He called it Woodypecker.😂😂
Lester, that woodpecker is likely getting grubs from the tree, grubs that are eating the tree from the inside out. I forgot the name. They can spread to other trees. Happened to several in our yard.
Going into winter, larvae are plump and delicious (if you're a woodpecker), and it's these juicy morsels for which the woodpeckers will strip the outer bark from the tree, sometimes starting at the ground and working all the way to the top. If the extensive pecking off of the bark goes all the way around a tree, it can cause damage and death to the tree. To protect trees from woodpeckers, wrap barriers of 1/4 inch hardware cloth, plastic mesh, or burlap around injured areas to discourage further damage. This method may be practical for high-value ornamental or shade trees. In addition, wind chimes, mirrors (that reflect larger than the source), and cat nip are all non-toxic ways of scaring off woodpeckers. Also mount fake owls 🦉 & eagles 🦅 to scare them off. They are a federally protected species so no lethal methods, not that Lester would ever consider that anyways. 💕
In Syracuse NY, we have tons of amazing Eagles living by our shopping mall that borders Onondaga Lake. They started appearing years ago because the water there is warm coming out of the treatment plant. They can eat there all winter/year. It's a real event as people gather each day to see them
LOL Lester is a goofball. i am mesmerized with the big birds, they walk so elegantly and so majestic. Kale is full of vitamins, i watched a channel before i need to find it again some man in Tn that is about all he ate. he built his own home, used a sawmill.
The Woodpecker is eating Insects that are living under the Bark. So this is the 2nd time you've shown Starla and Finn walking up the Driveway. They are getting out somewhere down the Driveway. Start searching or set up cameras to catch them lol. Lester playing with Ruby was so cute. Peace from WV
Jami your Gardens going to be beautiful. Lester everything is looking fabulous on JL Ranch and Longhorn Lester's. Jami I love you're so happy. Love ya both.
Jami, I suggest to put down "stepping stones." You can get them from Lowes, Menards and any gardening stores. You can get them in different color stones. This gives you access to your plants and weeds when needed.
This video is close to perfect! It's lacking one major asset that goes by Longhorn Ringo! LOL 🤣🤣🤣 I love you two so much! Jami looks absolutely gorgeous!❤️🎀

Every spring, one woodpecker comes and hammers on the aluminum siding of my house 😐. I call him Tommy Tardpecker.
Woody is eating BUGS in the tree! starla needs a camera attached to her so you all can see what she's doing. That might help secure her better.

A beautiful eagle ,poor Tina walking like a old lady, starla the ascape artist,a beautiful view, a woodpecker and coffee on LHL 😅 thats life...and yes i think that tree is going to dy ....thanks for heaving us on your doorstep 👍😘🍀
Thanks for watching today’s video.
It may still take several years for a woodpecker's attention to open a tree to enough damage to kill it. The smallest woodpeckers may even extend a tree's life by ridding it of pests, without great damage.
The view behind the tree that the woodpecker is at is just absolutely beautiful. Look at how beautiful all the horses look behind the tall trees
That’s a great idea! 💡
Sounds fantastic and lovely to me ❤🎉
my idea would be insects under the bark. Can't believe how big Ruby is now! Makes Dani look little! Eagles are so beautiful in flight. Light and love ya'll ❤
Ruby is definitely growing too fast! 😢❤
For Jami's garden, if you put T-posts about 2 ft 3 ft away from the center posts, and attach the cattle panels to those, then she could have an aisle to walk down through the middle and you wouldn't have to worry about putting up gates. Just a thought.
Lester you just sounded jet like my dad he did the woody just that way. Thank you for the memory of my dad.😊
I could see myself sitting there drinking coffee. You have a beautiful place. Take care and stay safe. God bless
Cheers 👍💕
Hi Lester and Jami
You a’lls channels have become my favorite. If I see you post I will pause anything else .
I won’t say who was my favorite. They did nothing wrong.
Great channel and characters as well.
Thank you kindly Christy!
Lester, really enjoyed your video! Hello Jami! I just love how you talk to all your animals and brightens my late afternoon! Looks absolutely so beautiful and peaceful there! Love y'all and God Bless You!❤️
I’m glad you enjoyed todays video Carla❤
Longhorn Lester’s is even more beautiful on my television. Didn’t know I could watch you on my television. You guys are almost life size. 😂❤
Good to know 😂
I got goosebumps listening to the eagles! Such a beautiful sight! Thank you for sharing! Starla is a doll. She is so loving & curious.
Be safe ❤😊❤
Yes 😂 no access to the levels if it is all blocked off. I hope you can cut the panels for the areas where Jami needs them 🙏♥️💖🥳
What a glorious morning where you are, and seeing those gee gees graze in the distance ❤ We've woodpeckers, and don't think it'll cause too much harm to the tree.
Jamie you look great! It's wonderful to see you smile again!
I am watching after work ❤Thank you so much Lester and Jami for your video.😊
I never thought Id see someone play with a calf like you do, Lester.😄 How sweet and fun!!
"Bald Eagle!!.... Bald ass Eagle" 😆😆
That Woody Woodpecker impersonation was GREAT!!🙌😆🤣
Great video jamie and lester😊😊
Just love Stella and Christmas they are so loving and nurturing to the other animals and oh my love Sadie how much she is a protector. I know the horses are happy to be there all that pretty green grass and how quit it is at LHL
Tex,.loves you Lester he don't mind you in there with them...your birds are funny when they acknowledge you...wow mother nature blessed you with eagles..wow!!
What a sight..keep on posting,, love it!!
Man oh man.. Big steps and beautiful changes taking place in this video😊
You guys look fantastic! Longhorn Lester's is thriving
HECK Even the porch geese are looking their best.
Hi Lester I saw the Woodpicker. I touched my screen and zoomed in on the Bird.
Evening Lester and Jami. Just a fun awesome video of you both and the animals. Thanks for sharing with us all. Who would have thought curly Kale could be so enticing. Have a great weekend much love and prayers Take care and God Bless 🙏💕🤠👢
The horses look so awesome out in the pasture.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lovely family get together for Coffee ❤ Starla just wanted some of that ❤❤❤
Hello, Lester and Jamie, the view of the horse's by the water looks so serin I wish I could just sit there and drink a cup of coffee . Blessings to you and Jamie and all your animals
That Woodpecker is just trying to figure out where to make a large hole to nest in it. Sounds good to me. I love Woodpeckers!! ❤❤❤
😂😂😂😂 Lester, great impression
Lester that absolutely was the call that Woody Woodpecker made. Woodpeckers drill into the bark to eat grubs and bugs that are underneath. They don’t eat the bark. My ex and I used to have them living in the woods at the back of our house, they also will eat peanuts and seeds from a feeder. As a kid I loved the Woody Woodpecker cartoon. I think that Jami is going to have to grow a lot more of that kale for the ostriches if they need luring back to their pastures 🫣
Great to see Jami getting more comfortable in front of the camera without her mask❤️😊
When my nephew was 3 years old he would watch Woody Woodpecker and of course Aunt Kathy and Granny Elizabeth watched it with him. He called it Woodypecker.😂😂
Jami looks as pretty as ever❤
You’re so kind Marie.
I am so glad Jami is feeling more💞 comfortable without the mask. You are beautiful and we love any way we can get ya! 💕
The horse herd look's wonderful. They must be so happy on this property. THIS is a horse life!!👍👍👍❤️
So horses are so beautiful in the background ❤❤❤❤
I enjoyed the video Lester! So much going on it's good to see Jami smiling again l miss that!😊❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it
Lester, that woodpecker is likely getting grubs from the tree, grubs that are eating the tree from the inside out.
It's a real event as people gather each day to see them
Lester & Jami your property looks so amazing and beautiful ❤
LOL Lester is a goofball. i am mesmerized with the big birds, they walk so elegantly and so majestic. Kale is full of vitamins, i watched a channel before i need to find it again some man in Tn that is about all he ate. he built his own home, used a sawmill.
The Woodpecker is eating Insects that are living under the Bark. So this is the 2nd time you've shown Starla and Finn walking up the Driveway. They are getting out somewhere down the Driveway. Start searching or set up cameras to catch them lol. Lester playing with Ruby was so cute. Peace from WV
Starla’s thinking that salad bar looks so inviting
Jami your Gardens going to be beautiful. Lester everything is looking fabulous on JL Ranch and Longhorn Lester's. Jami I love you're so happy. Love ya both.
Jami, I suggest to put down "stepping stones." You can get them from Lowes, Menards and any gardening stores. You can get them in different color stones. This gives you access to your plants and weeds when needed.
This video is close to perfect! It's lacking one major asset that goes by Longhorn Ringo! LOL 🤣🤣🤣
I love you two so much! Jami looks absolutely gorgeous!❤️🎀
