Nice, as usual!! 😁 I have the uncut version H179. Haven't played it in a while after buying my Knopf wrap Briz 2000SC but really do miss it. How do you compare the Holton vs the Conn8D? And, do you prefer the Kruspe wrap over Geyer/Knopf?

I'm sorry to say that my comparisons are very superficial, it takes time and real circumstances (rehearsals, concerts, recitals, etc.) for these comparisons to be deep and reliable. In addition, there are very personal aspects and very respectable and varied aesthetic tastes. For these reasons I do not dare to categorize or specify anything, except that regular and serious study is more important than the instrument itself.

Gracias Manuel, pues para encontrar algún intermediario que te consiga una trompa Holton dependerá de la zona donde vives.

@@ferranfrenchhornok, te lo preguntaba porque he estado buscando por internet y es muy dificil encontrar sitios en españa donde poder ver y probar las trompas holton. A proposito, he visto q esa trompa esta sib - fa en vez de fa - sib. Es intercambiable el traspositor en esa trompa. No he visto ninguna trompa holton asi. Un saludo!

Para poder probar trompas Holton tendrás que contactar con la tienda para ver si disponen de la trompa que buscas, he visto tiendas en Valencia o Almería que parece que si que las tienen. Respecto al transpositor, esta trompa en concreto le cambié el sistema de forma casera (tan sólo hay que cambiar el sentido del hilo) hace como 30 años. En algunos modelos de Holton el brazo viene troquelado para dar la opción del cambio Sib-Fa ya que todas las trompas americanas vienen de casa en Fa-Sib. También está la posibilidad de instalar un sistema minibol, pero eso lo ha de hacer un luthier especializado.

Yes, in Spain it is very common to play that way.

@Ferran French Horn that's incredibly interesting, thanks! I'll have to see if I could potentially have my rotor reversed (I've heard of it being able to be done retroacfively) given that I mostly hang on that side of the horn anyways.

На ваш взгляд что предпочтительнее Conn 8D или Holton H279

Разница между Holtons заключается в стационарном или винтовом павильоне. Что касается предпочтений, лично я предпочитаю Conn.
