    Good God from Mt. Zion. Thank you Pastor Wesley for shedding the light. Though some shall choose to remain ignorant of the facts and circumstances of the racial divide in America. I am glad that you serve to remind us...that there is more to the story.....

    Soooo, Whats the difference between this, and Dr. King preaching at a C.O.G.I.C. (Church Of God In Christ) church, and preaching about illegality of racism. The same thing! I love my Pastor!!! This message was spoken to, speak to people's current situation, so they won't go the wrong way, or do things that ultimately taint their walk with God. This sermon was needed!!

      A sermon or words is not what makes a Christian stay on the narrow path or do good deeds. It is the Holy Spirit which causes us to glorify God in our lives.

    Not the first time nor the last time this world will experience injustice. In the end when this life is over our Lord and Saviir will be the judge if all men. Debating arguing and disagreeing is what we do on this earth niw. Don't waste ur time convincing others on ur owb personal views because history tells you...it doesn't change right here...right niw. Have mercy on us.

    when it hurts what do we do? Who has observed?
    1. What is high maintenance?
    2. What products help us in maintenance after hurt?
    3. What law do we seek, what questions do we ask those who have hurt us or one?
    when the verdict hurts...
    1. what recourse do citizens take?
    2. who speaks to the law, citizens and others who sit in "control" over those who are or have been hurt?
    3. What results do those who are able to speak to those who are in control but out of wack?

    You clearly missed the word that he preached. Rev. Wesley used scripture (as you call it, "the word") to discuss the current issue at hand and how to process the situation and move forward. Again, you clearly missed the word because you're too focused on Trayvon Martin.

  • @bmfh1418

    Preach on preacher till justice runs down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream. Zimmerman had no right nor the authority to arrest Trayvon. All Trayvon was guilty of is walking down the street with a bag of candy and a can of ice tea. From a police executive of over 20 years experience. Justice still is not just and lady justice peeps from her blindfold to see color!

  • @ledavi3818
    @ledavi3818 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dig this:
    Where was Trayvon?
    What day, evening, or night?
    Why?
    Who was Trayvon on the phone with that day, evening, or night?
    Why was Trayvon alone that night?
    What made Zimmerman in a nanna second?
    Who was Zimmerman to anyone before, during and after Trayvon?
    Why was Zimmerman to Trayvon that day, evening, or night?
    What can I say about Zimmerman? What can I say about my being Trayvon's sister, mother, dad, brother, sister, friend, associate? How could Trayvon have been alone that night?

    Lettie's same question: Ministers are not consulted in matters that concern our souls, our future as a people and God???
    "Ministers hurt": Lettie's trial sermon.

    We need to heal our young black community before we can change a verdict that we don't understand. I understand when my aunt called the cops on my cousin for his crime I didn't understand because it was her son but she made him understand that you are not above the law indestructible or anything so stop acting like it. That is what our people need to hear

    Why are you all debating with people who are obviously NOT INTERESTED in getting a healing word from the man of God but want to further sew discord among the brethren? Cast not your pearls before swine. They don't care! The only thing they wish to do is further cut you with their racist words, twisted logic and further praise this malefactor, Zimmerman. Don't waste your time!

    One FACT, since you seem want to state a FACT, that FACT was he (Zimmerman) was told by the 911 operator, NOT to follow Trayvon Martin. Who made Zimmerman, judge,jury and executioner? If the role were reverse, I am 100% sure that the outcome would not be the same.

    To Cole Younger's comment about Zimmerman being Hispanic rather than white, he is making a typically American mistake of confusing Nationality and language group with race. They are not the same thing. One can be a black Hispanic or a white Hispanic or mixed race Hispanic.) This definition might help: His·pan·ic adj. 1. Of or relating to Spain or Spanish-speaking Latin America. 2. Of or relating to a Spanish-speaking people or culture.n.

  • @homieClosely
    @homieClosely 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I wrote the last comment instantly after hearing the sermon but was aghast at the comments that followed. How about a little less of the praising in type and a little more of the calling your state reps and having a second look at this stand your ground nonsense. There are the laws of god and the laws of men. It's up to you to help with the latter.

    What is crazy making, what is a tasty faith and what recourse have citizens who live in this world but are separate from it?
    1. we hurt
    2. we hurt back
    3. hurting seems to be the answer
    when we love we are liable. we act out, we get in trouble and we serve. that is how much those in seats of authority and decision making know about those who love, who get in trouble and who serve in bonds over stupid. Stupid acts.
    Dig this... Stupid has a job. How can I help stupid? Lettie speaks.

    If you continue like this pastor we will continue to be destroyed. We must prepare our people for the big war that is to come and not keep them docile. Show them the true Christ (Black) and help them to look at their brother in the image of Christ. Organize and train the people for military actions- there is no defense for yourself like yourself. Start spending your billions among yourselves and stop paying for the very chains that is used to chain you. Teach your children to fight!

    why do people hide behind God when they are so prejudiced? Shame on those who would use the love of God to preach hate.... My niece was murdered and her killer still walks free. Don't see me blaming anyone but the person who did this to her...
    Sorry, I couldn't watch all of this because his monotone was making me sleepy.

    To be quite frank I'm disappointed in our leaders and churches who continue to preach a slavery sermon-Forgive your enemies, "Caucasians", for destroying you; Obedience to the Master [massa]; and just keeping working until Jesus comes back and take us to heaven. The slave ship JESUS is never coming back! We have to start teaching the people the truth about the bible and themselves for the people have no sense of who they are in this world- LOST! Teach them their true identity! An Eye for an Eye

  • @Pappilli0n
    @Pappilli0n 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    this Rev. Dr. Preacher (Why must all these titles be so important when he SHOULD be a simple disciple of Jesus preaching God's Word?) anyways, being black he so wanted
    justice to be the justice as defined by blacks. The laws in the books define JUSTICE for all, not people. I think Howard-John needs to return to the Biblical teachings he was taught in theology school/college/university and stop thinking in color. God doesn't teach that way. God is so much better than Howard-John gives HIm credit for. God is so wonderful because everyone on this Earth is here for a purpose. We are His chosen ones. Howard-John needs to quit preaching one-sided selfishness and race from his pulpit. Quit thinking everything is against black people because they are not. my goodness, you are a child of God....act like it and quit feeling so oppressed.

      +Pappilli0n That's exactly how slave masters used Christianity to justify the violence and degradation of slavery.

    • @MrBrooklynndude
      @MrBrooklynndude 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The reality of a sinful human experience is that oppression will always be a struggle we contend with...Being a Christian doesn’t negate adversity or save one from oppression...Racism is one such real, material product of a sinful world and in this light, it’s clear that Black people do not victimize themselves,....we simply understand our history of oppression and struggle in the context of a higher spiritual reality....in fact, it’s only by will, determination and a concept of self worth brought about by higher principles of Christianity and principled men like Malcom X that we survived slavery, Jim Crow amd a unjust system of today...I would humbly encourage you to celebrate black survival in the midst of a troubled history...because we exemplify grace and the Love of God ..without Him, we would be nowhere...and so Black history is basically is in a sense a object lesson of biblical redemption

    On Trayvon's tombstone it reads, "Job Well done," What does that mean? Does it mean that his death is bringing them money? They are ringing the cash register. If Tracy Martin and Shirley Fulton truly want to do something constructive teach your children not to be thugs!

    George Zimmerman was doing his job as the neighborhood watchman, when he was attacked by Trayvon Martin and had to shoot him to keep from getting killed. Trayvon Martin attacked George Zimmerman and was bashing his head against the concrete. Zimmerman feared for his life and therefore was justified in shooting Trayvon Martin.People have a God-given right to defend themselves. This was not a case of "Stand your Ground", but self defense.

    • @craigacook8360
      @craigacook8360 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Zimmerman chased Martin and put his his hands on him which the police told Zimmerman to not chase him. So Zimmerman chased and put his own his on Martin, and Martin kicking his butt now he's shoots Martin because He fear for his life really. Martin NEVER came up to Zimmerman
