Bentley such a Down To Earth person. I think it was 2008 or 2009, Spurs done an open training session at whl. He was the only one that went round to everyone, standing waiting outside, signing autographs, taking photos, while most of the other players only did a few or none at all.
You can’t not love Bentley , as an Arsenal fan too I just loved him and always wanted him to do well as he’s a good lad even after that goal against Arsenal. He’s just one of the lads and pity there isn’t more people like him 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
People go on about Capello being an elite manager. The guy rocked up to take the England job on £8 million or more a year and couldn't even be rsed to learn the lingo, despite having all the time in the world to learn. That's not an elite mindset at all.
@@finfog4590 A manager relaying his instructions back to his players via a polite translator is worlds away from the actual manager doing it. I agree with you, England's relative position in world football to other international football teams during Capello's era would suggest a different manager wouldn't have done much better, however, for me, the problems lies in the perception that England have gone down the foreign manager route and it didn't work out. England have never had an elite foreign manager and so should be open minded to hire one during the current selection process.
Love David Bentley he should have been one of the best in the world, his Dad once said if he could pass a pub like he passes the ball he would have been one of the best.
People don’t seem to understand that it takes time to turn a club around - even the best ones like Klopp and Pep took a while and Pep had masses to spend - Spurs starting eleven this season will increasingly bear little or no resemblance to the team Ange inherited - I think he hasn’t just done well he has done incredibly well - any fans who don’t support him are not real fans in my opinion they are just moaners - Ange ❤
Semi final WC, euro runners up on pens, WC quarter final missed pen from taking the french to extra time, beat finalists euro 2024... Not a bad record. People go on like England have a history of winning. Southgate isn't a great manager but credit where credits due
Bentley seems to be another ex pro who "fell out of love with the game", but cant wait to come back on the ca$h gravy train with anyone who will have him . Average player, playing in London so higher profile probably trying to follow OHara onto reality TV then get a football gig......
Toney is coming to the end of his career. Why would he want to guarantee not winning a trophy by moving to Spurs??? Solanke would still have time to realise his mistake and move on in 3-4 years time to a half decent club with a chance of success.
If anyone from talksport reads these comments the. Please get Bentley and Bullard on more often
I’d have Micheal Owen over Rory Jennings
@@adywolf8254I’d prefer the invisible man
You’re god dam right 😊
And get Jamie O’Hara off air ASAP
@@newtonsimon you mad he makes the show. Needs Carlton Cole and Saunders pennant off it immediately

He has translators. Also England just aren’t good enough no matter the level of manager.

Capello was the don.The English players were evidently the problem.
@@finfog4590Nonsense that England team was on another level 😂
Finfog more like brain fog

Lets see what solanke does this season before we start talking about him going to bigger clubs.
What a legend Bentley
Alegend david bentley really
Love David Bentley he should have been one of the best in the world, his Dad once said if he could pass a pub like he passes the ball he would have been one of the best.
" best in the World" oh dear hahahaha
One of the best in the world?Like in the top 250,000?
David Bentley... one of my favorite Fifa 08(favorite signings)..n Bournemouth was decent last season
I'm baffled to hear that spurs aren't spending money ,they're on par with the biggest spenders ..
Jamie saying Solanke, nerds a big club...Not Tottenham

When where they all playing together ....
I cannot believe there was a time when England had players in their squad like Bullard and Bentley. Dark times.
Spot on
Bentley was class
Both quality on their day bullard properly underrated
no surprise we underachieved when you look at the clowns Capello had at his disposal
Bentley comes across a funny guy, normal. Not like these clowns now programmed.
Why does Bentley sound like a 60 year old black taxi driver? 😂😂
Hahahahahahahaha
Is that rylan?
Simon jordan has the neck to call sky sports content out. When you lot put guff like this out
great so southgate changes the "precious culture" to make players feel better cos their feelings are important, AND STILL HAVENT WON ANYTHING.

sick of people hating white people
Double that
Solanke will be a total waste of money.
Bentley better at talking about game than playing it 😂
Don't like Bentley's attitude towards football -considerimg what it's given him

Hardly ever see him to b honest mate
You're a silly tit aren't you?
Hahah hoping arsenal will flop is the most spursy comment ever. Not make your team better. Clown club
Leaving Bournemouth for Spuds is a backwards move! Ridiculous to claim the trophy dodgers are anything g more than mod table fodder
lame makes sense with that comment 😞

Money has not long turned 28 this should be his prime nowhere near the end
Toney
@@martinfitt9318 but if he signs a 4 year contract, he's tied to them, a guarantee of no trophies. Like volunteering to get bum A.I.D.S. 👍🏿
So if Solanke deserves a move to a big club why would he go to the 🥔🥔 if he has any ambition why would he go to the 🚽 bowl
