I cook my rice in the microwave. Cover rice with 1/2” of water and cook on full for 7 minutes. Add more water to just come to the top of the rice and cook for another 7 minutes. Perfect rice every time.
Put green poles in ground put blue pipe over them. Cross them for a sturdy structure. Cut rings of blue pipe about 1 inch. Make a slit to split them this then becomes grippers to go over net and clip onto pipe. Keeps them tight.
Hi Tony, first tunnels have steel cloche hoops for raised beds. They are very good. I bought some last year & work well. I use the black clips to hold in place around the beds, too, from amazon. Great video thanks for sharing and take care 😊
😂😂😂 you have made my day!! I’ve had exactly the same morning I gave up in the end the air was blue and I broke canes , put my foot through the netting and fell in the bloody pond 😂I can laugh now , not so much at the time 😂 xxx
The plastic thingies, poles and netting might be a good way to protect sweetcorn from wind. Might need to double up the netting or use a different material.
I used bits of old hose pipes, cut into about 2/3 inch strips, then cut down one side to allow them to be pushed over the mesh, onto blue pipe, does exactly the same thing 😊
hahaha! That was class. I am so like that effing and blinding when trying to find netting solutions to protect my crops, from the pests and roaming beasties, I am sure veg gardeners everywhere have been there. I too hate the faffing I know @naturallyJB had also posted about this too. So you are not alone Tony. Although I have loads of those green supports and those clips look a lot easier to deal with for my cat protection netting for early plants going in, so it wasn't all bad. ☺☺😁
If you use hoops snd want to secure netting. Cut down some of your hoop plastic into 2" lengths, cut each one open in ine side, that will slip over your pipe and netting like thd vlips, its really good, diesng come loose, holds the netting in place really well. This is ehat we do on our hoops
Thank you so much for making my day incredible to find out we all have those days on the plot ...my plot is called "lost the plot" incredible 👏 more please 😊
We've all had those days! The brilliant idea turns out to be rubbish. The creative artistry looks naff. We get clumsier with every realisation that it's not gonna work. Solution. Simple is best. Cup of coffee. ... ps. How did Mrs Smith take The Great Northeastern Rice Fire?😂❤❤ Yes I've done that too
Even with your DIY skills,, maybe you should have watched Mark's vlog about building the hinged lid for his carrots as well of how he's sown his carrots 😂😂

You are the perfect antidote to a crappy day! 😂

Cutting the blue pipe to make clips is a genius move. I'll be stealing that!

Kind of cute........it looked like a play pen....for the plants.😂
Have perfect rice now, bring it to the boil, boil 6 to 10 minutes, then turn off leave in water for 6 to 10 minutes or more for brown.

Thanks for the Detroit shout-out! I was out longer than I should've been and got a red-hot sunburn. Hilarious video 🤣
Instant pot is the easiest for rice cooking

Tony it's one of those days we all have them. You did make me laugh.
those clips are an absolute wast of time, we’ve got the tee shirt to prove it.
old fashioned bulldog clips are better.
Get a rice cooker Tony 😉
I second a rice cooker. I've fallen asleep while cooking rice. I had the same result Tony.

just use the blue pipes as in bed behind you then cove with micro mesh so easy and quick 😊

I cook my rice in salted water for a couple of minutes. Then put it in a stainless steel strainer and steam it over water. Best over,
That was hilarious. The effing and jeffing just to cover a small bed with mesh. Im not sure I even know what you sowed! Great video.
