Pretty straight forward, and as you say, you can add to taste. You could even add sweet chilly, or ginger to spice it up, especially in this cold weather.👌
Yum!... That's a lovely looking Cream of Chicken Soup you've made there Andy... It reminds me of being a kid... And whenever i was ill and kept home from school... Mum would always serve us Heinz Cream of Chicken Soup... Or if she had leftover Chicken from a Sunday Roast Dinner... And she had the time... She would make it herself... 👍 And of course we would also have it with Fresh Bread for dipping too... 🍞🍜😋 Many thanks for uploading part two of this Chicken mini budget meals series Andy... I'm really looking forward to seeing part three tomorrow pal... It's very much appreciated my friend... All the very best... Cheers mate.🍺
Hi Andy, that looked delicious, can't beat homemade soup, with tiger bread and butter, it's the best, that is a proper winter warmer,, look forward to the third episode, have good day, glad to see you're feeling better.
@fatandy loads of fat in it tho. Easiest to leave the broth overnight in the fridge, the broth turns to jelly & fat sits on top so it easy to skim off. You can keep it & use it for roasting potatoes or whatever if you want.
You can't beat home made soup and it tastes better than tin and more filling.thanks to my mum always soup on a Saturday or if I wasn't well as a child 😊
if you look at many soups there is very little chicken in them and normally very small bits. so really just using meat from just the tiny bits. from all over the chicken. you can thicken the soup by using potatoes and then you blend it up. since the chicken it cooked and is just tiny pieces can be added after the blending. for a few minutes
Would make a nice chicken and mushroom/bacon pie up with the rest of the meat for a third meal.. could even use some of that soup if any leftover abit more thickened up for the sauce inside it 👌
I budget 24/7 awesome channel, but.....lol my daughter in law is polish and she said ,start the soup straight away the same night and simmer, then heat and eat the nxt day, sorry Andy bro,but daughters must be respected lol
One thing I can tell you if you made that chicken in the US you would never have that much meat left after 3 people had dinner,as I said yesterday a person here would expect either a leg,and thigh,or a breast, and wing for their dinner. Of course if you stripped the meat from the carcass you then could make several meals from it, instead of serving it as roast chicken. I would have put rice, small pasta, barley,or potatoes into the chicken soup to make it more of a meal. I must admit I like soups full of stuff,I never really liked chicken soup as most people make it with a lot of liquid, and large chunks of veg. So let’s see what you make tomorrow? 😃🐓🐓
This is very useful cooking, great to see and hopefully inspires people to have a go, you could save a fortune and eat well, well done Andy 👍
Thanks

You can do the same thing with leftover duck & it is beautiful, king soup. Used to be hugely popular but seems neglected now.
That sounds really good 👍

Go for it, just test it as you are cooking it and add your salt and pepper to taste 👍
You just can't beat a pan of homemade soup of any description. It knocks spots off any tinned stuff.
👍
That looks amazing. Crusty bread and butter to wash it down. Cant beat it. Nice one Andy. Best wishes from Chester 🥣🥣🍻🍻

I like the idea of a splash (or two) of wine in it. Looks lovely!
Are you concerned about which cream you use (as in what the cows got fed)?
Not really, there’s so many different, additives and stuff they use nowadays i don’t think you will ever change it, well not now it’s gone to far 👍
Mine comes out of can fella🤣

Pearl chickens are several breeds of chicken with unique colours, and personalities, they are good layers.

Looks good Andy 👍 was it cornflour with abit of water to mix to a paste that you used to help thicken the soup?
Would make a nice chicken and mushroom/bacon pie up with the rest of the meat for a third meal.. could even use some of that soup if any leftover abit more thickened up for the sauce inside it 👌
