    • @serene8998

      this confuses me- “ Trying the foods that represent their culture” it never said the food IS a culture.

    • @Kagdar
      @Kagdar 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It does represent our culture, because Maple Syrup are linked to maple syrup shacks and the art of boiling the tap to make it a syrup. linked with having maple trees forest which you have to walk through with lots of snow in them. And the shack is linked to having family gatherings since back in the days you needed a lot of people to make it work. Meaning family dinners with ways to keep warm : eating, dancing, playing music (no electricity in the middle of a forest)
      So yea it represent our culture because it was the way of life back in the days that shaped our culture. food, music, family mentality.

    I wonder if they are going to have the festival this year. So sad if they don't because it looks like a lot of fun. One of these days, I'm going to try poutine. It looks so good. I'm a savory fan also.

    In Ontario my school had a winter carnival and my class got to host the games. Let me tell you the maple taffy is spicy and disgusting. It's too sweet for my liking because I hate sweet and we also got persians from my teacher. This was last month

    LADY! When you put the beavertail in the fryer... You flopped it YOUR way... ALWAYS put the end nearest you in FIRST and the end FURTHEST away from you LAST... That makes any splash go away from you, instead of right on your hand and stomach.. BASIC frying technique.. And you are a FOOD reporter???
