This was an awesome video. Doing simple things like purposely doing something wrong the first time to emphasize a common mistake students make is a fantastic way to teach. Congrats on being a great professor!
+Kevin Stitely Hi, I started learning the MATLAB on udemy, here is a -74% coupon to the LEARN MATLAB course: www.udemy.com/learn-matlab/?couponCode=MATLAB25
I have a question. In this video, you established x-values by putting: [-2 -1 0 1 2] ...basically putting brackets around the different x-values. However, in another video you stated that this was how you define a polynomial function - by stating the coefficients in vector form. So how does Matlab know the difference between 1. saying x equals the set of integers from [-2,2], and 2. saying x = -2x^4 -1x^3 +0x^2 +1x +2 ?
plz help! i difined an own function of the variables x,y,z. so now i want to plot the whole thing with fixed values for y and z and over x, wich is supposed to be a vector. so i created the vector r=0:0.01:1 and tried: plot(f(r.,2,3)), but it doesnt do the trick. how do i get my own fuction to swallow a vector for x?
Let's say I type 5 lines on a matlab program. Let's say I mess up on the fifth line. I want to clear the fifth line only, but when I type "clc" it clears all the lines and starts from scratch. How do I fix this problem?
Very nice tutorial! Thank you. One question. I can plot this without any problems: v = t.^2; ...But this returns an error: v = t. + 1; What could be wrong?
New to Matlab and every tutorial has pretty much been too confusing except yours. Also I really appreciate the purposeful errors. Btwy our voice sounds like Memphis from Happy Feet, thats the dad of mumble lol
+Bosco Khoo Try this, (x + 2).^2 * (x.^3 + 1) Remember: If you want to square a vector you have to square each element in the vector. That's why you need the "." before the "^"
+Bosco Khoo If x is a matrix, remember that inner dimensions must match. So you can only multiply matrices with similar inner dimensions. Using element wise notation will solve the problem with the exponents but if x is a 3x2 matrix, and youre effectively just taking a 3x2 matrix and altering the numbers by a scalar, its still a 3x2 matrix. So what you're doing with your equations is trying to multiply a scaled x by a differently scaled x. Which only works if x is a square matrix. Check and make sure it is.
you've uploaded many videos on matlab, but it would be better if they had subtitles in Spanish to understand better. if you have information in pdf format or another, could send it to me?

this is awesome! I love the zoom effect, and the smoothness and cleanness altogether... very nice typing sound too. So pleasant to watch.
Finish homework 2 hours before school... LIKE A BOSS!!!!
thanks for the video it was very helpful.
May God reward you for all your efforts and all the valuable information that you provide us smoothly .
One of the best tutorial videos I've ever seen, thank you so much!
Wow... I don't know if that could have been explained any better! That dot thing saved my life. Thanks!
thankx. you can also use,
plot(x,y,x,y2,x,y3) and the graphs will b plotted in the same window and differant colors will be given.
The best Matlab Plotting tutorial video ever!
This is far superior to the many indian tutorials on this. Thankyou
Dr. Talbert, thank you kindly. Your tutorials are cogent, and on point. Nice work. My only request is, to keep 'em coming!
the recap part is just brilliant !! Great Job :)
wow thank you so much for this. MY lab teacher is the worst and you saved me. GOAT
Owen Wilson teaching MATLAB.... love it
Great video. It's clear, informative and to the point. Keep it up.
This is a better explanation than my teacher
Thank you vey much. alot more easier than my professors guide notes. thx
thank you so much, I was able to get homework done cause of you !
OMG, professor I can't thank you enough.
thanks Doctor, you saved my degree
This really helped me a lot. You're great at explaining, I found it very clear and concise! Thank you!!!
Great video. Super clear and helpful.
this has really helped me for my maths assignment! thanks a lot
Oh my god thank you so much!

You are so Awesome. Million Thanks!
Greets from Stockholm, Sweden
thank you for this video, I learned a lot!
Wow, great vid. Are you running Matlab on OSX or parallels? I have a Mac and want to run Matlab but not sure which way to go. Is it Win only?
The background seems to be the Galleria of Milan! Good choice! :-)
Thank you soo much... Most of the stuff I saw only worked on 2013a. This really helped me.
Thank you very much sir. Your lecture was very helpful. Allah bless you .

Very, VERY helpful! Thank you.
you, sir, saved my life, again :)

How can I plot function, which is different for x>a and x
Superb TubeTutor, thanks!
Very helpful video, thanks alot!!
very informative video. linspace huh...first time ever heard about this. wonder if there's more intense spots like 10 time linspace or something...
Thanks for the great video
wonderfully done. Thanks
thank you very much , this tutorial is very useful again, thank you.
Thanks so much for the video! Whenever I try and plot a loglog plot in a for loop, it only returns a figure with linear axes. Any idea why?
How to shade the region between y=sinx and y=x^2. What command do you use? Is the command will work for three or four functions?
Thank you so much
Very very very very good tutorial :)
You are so much help.
Easy to understand.. Thanks!
Thanks a lot, mate. Really helpful video, keep up the good work!
how can i overwrite the plot?i want to modify something on it and when i use it to open my modified not the original?
Cool tutorial!
This is amazing, thanks.
This is the issh.......Thumbs up guys.
Extremely helpful!
Thanx
Thank you it was very helpful
best teacher ever❤❤❤❤but plz can u talk slower😇
Easy to understand .. Thank you
why im i getting this error
??? Undefined function or method
'test' for input arguments of type
'char'.
Thank you, very useful!
Thank you very much
Thanks for all the explanation... Saved me from getting thrown out of class...:D
P.S. Doesnt he sound like Sheldon Cooper!!?? XD
Is that photo on your desktop taken in Istanbul?
thank you very much very nice video
hey, can you please do more complex equations? Please?
Thank you! You've saved me for my final
Very useful, thanks
plz help!

Glorious!
how to get rid of asymptotes? e.g. 1/x. I just want the curve where x is defined to show, not the asymptote
thank you sooo much
very helpful
allah razi olsun hacim yaaa
thank you very much , sir
u saved my day... thx :)
Thank you so much!
very nice!
thank you!!! I forgot how to get multiple figures.

Does this work for windows?
Very nice tutorial! Thank you.

am having the same issue! did you manage to solve it?
I can't thank you enough
thanks for the vid!!
thanks !! u r great !
I didn't get it, Why did u use the dot? Help pls

very helpful tnx
excellent....!!!
Thanks buddy
the hold on function doesn't work for me
how do you input the function (x+2)^2 * (x^3+1) in MATLAB? i kept getting error
+Bosco Khoo Try this, (x + 2).^2 * (x.^3 + 1)
Remember: If you want to square a vector you have to square each element in the vector. That's why you need the "." before the "^"
+Command Repair, but i got an error, non-conformant arguments, after i input this...
+Bosco Khoo Did you already tried (x + 2).^2 .* (x.^3 + 1)? MATLAB tries matrix multiplication.
+Bosco Khoo If x is a matrix, remember that inner dimensions must match. So you can only multiply matrices with similar inner dimensions.
