Standard practice would be to verify volume, traffic, and revenue. Unless the information by the "CEO" was on the contract, it's not relevant. If it was on the contract, then it should have been verified. you know the problem with these startups is they legit have a genuine idea at first but get too much money from investors which makes them change focus in order to keep that money flow coming in and they end up simply not even caring anymore about the original idea because they already received the prize.

I can't believe a bank as rich as JP Morgan didn't research the company first. There are professionals who can tell you if users are fake bots etc. The girl herself might not even be aware that some of the users are bots as people train bots on all sorts of websites and platforms and it doesn't mean the company necessarily paid for all the bots.

Standard practice would be to verify volume, traffic, and revenue. Unless the information by the "CEO" was on the contract, it's not relevant. If it was on the contract, then it should have been verified. No wonder banks are getting themselves into trouble. 175 million dollar deal should have properly investigated and audited prior to the transaction.
