    I had actually never heard of jujubes before living in South korea the last 4 years. We have a tree in our yard and i dried several of them in the oven sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar to they were crispy. Great snack. I've also put softened jujubes in my white kimchi!

    I have those 2 exact dehydrators. I found the dark gray one in a resale shop for a dollar several years ago. My older Nesco dehydrator has the sturdy trays yours does, but the one I purchased last year has trays made with thinner plastic without the sturdy center column. They warp easily.

    Hello! I know this is an old video, but do you still have access to the jujube jam recipe you mentioned? I can't find a trustworthy recipe online, and I need to make this jam for my wedding favors in about ten days. 😅🙌🏻 Thanks!

      I didn't actually have a recipie that I have used, but here is one that looks great. You will need to dehydrate the Jujubees first as I feel that will make a jam with more depth of flavor.

      @BrendaWilson-du3fk Unfortunately its been out of print for many years. It's a great cookbook! I got it at one of their meetings in the late 90's.

    how old is your jujube? I was thinking of planting one, but I didn't want it that big. Could i prune it smaller?

      My tree is close to 10 years old. You could definately keep it smaller with some good pruning.

    I just bought a Lang and I am planning to plant on the East side which is my front yard. I read that it needs full sun, what is your experience when it comes to planting location. Thank you.

      Mine is on the east side of my home and got afternoon shade when it was young. It is now tall enough to get full sun all day. They seem to do fine with either, but I will bet they do better in full sun.

      @@gardenwiseadventures looks tall in the video and I know I can prune it. What is your mature size?

    • @gardenwiseadventures
      @gardenwiseadventures 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is pretty tall, it's around 12 ft. I use a ladder and extension poles to prune it. I try and keep mine around roof height

    What type of jujube do you have?

      I think this one is a Lang. It's self fertile and has thorns.
