I hope she makes it to one of the VA Beach Funfest once COVID is in our rear view mirror....Such a talent!....and I so remember "Shame" I was stationed at Minot AFB in North Dakota...and at the airmen's club on Friday night...when it was Soul Night the DJ put this on for the first time and Oh My Goodness we tore it up on da dance floor...she and Cheryl Lynn "Got to Be Real"...oh my goodness were the jams!! Remember the TOP OF THE POPS appearance in '83 (?) lipsynching the big hIt LOVE COME DOWN on T.V. First time seeing EVELYN this petite black chick doing this huge dance track and killing it. That signature funk guitar lick with the synth chimes is classic. Listen to it closely of you haven't heard it for awhile. Also the SINBAD summer jam in ARUBA was old school ECK along with the whispers earth wind & fire Roger on HBO was as good as it gets. What's happened to real music??

I don't know if it's right was on my mind for 2 days. Had to listen to it, but then I saw Shame & Love come down. These songs reminds me of my early coming out days of being gay. We all loved those songs. I'm from L.A. & still here. I write songs to play in my son's car when we drive & yes, I'm going to get him hooked like he has with my obsession songs.
