I appreciate your services so much. It is hard to find a church that goes through the Bible verse by verse. Thank you Pastor Brett. I am the only believer in my family so I really look forward to Wednesday night, and Sunday. Thank you for making Brett's teachings available

What Pastor Brett was describing at George Fox and woke professors deconstructing student’s faith is exactly what happened to my daughter at Azusa Pacific. She had one professor who basically led the class to dump the faith they grew up with and figure out their own beliefs. My daughter is not an atheist, she just has no interest in things if God anymore. She’d rather fit in with the world than honor God. This was about 10 years ago now. I didn’t realize what happened at the time but found out later. Didn’t know what deconstruction was back then. Breaks my heart. They certainly won’t get another dime from me in any donation solicitation. (Thankfully max scholarships at least meant we didn’t pay full price for that. )

Keep praying for her I understand what you are going through. God has moved mountains when you don't think it's possible. God bless you

Better one more dime than your daughter, (but odds are that ‘fit Inʻ friendships will let her down In the end). Maybe you could mentor a young person lost for lack of parent care In your community. One lost girl i knew gave up her baby born out of wedlock. She had no parents, but always wanted to finish school. The childless couple who joyfully adopted her baby also adopted her & supported her schooling through community college for bookeeping.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Yes, pray for your daughter. What you taught her will be remembered by her. God's word will not return void. Persevere, Mom!

Great service as usual!! Thank you Pastor Brett for your wisdom, humor and teachings.
I have a cousin that got a theology degree from Pacific University & works as a minister for a UCC “church” the longer he’s been there, the further he gets from the Bible.

Pastor Brett, you mentioned apostasia and in looking up the meaning, I found it also translates to "departure" - which I thought was interesting if I read the text that way,
First the departure then the antiChrist will be revealed (paraphrased)
I found that interesting and thought it worth sharing.
    😌

What do you think is meant by "which perished between the altar and the temple" in Luke 11:51?

Great message. However, one thing you said doesn’t line up Biblically. Jesus did not go willingly to the cross. In fact, Jesus asked God to take the cup from Him. Yet, said not my will but thine will be done. Jesus said it wasn’t his own will to go the cross. He did it anyways. Which is a major teaching point for Christians to know. Our will might be to do one thing, but we do God’s will instead of our own.

I like your mindset but Jesus willingly died on the cross as he willingly obeyed. Either way, thank you Jesus!

He chose to surrender His will to the will of God. Yes, the end result is the same. Thank you Jesus. It is just a good teaching point. We, as Christians, should surrender our own will to God’s will. I just feel it short changes the situation some. It is much more impactful knowing He didn’t want to go, but chose to follow God’s will to the cross instead of his own will. It shows His humanity.
