    Welcome to it! This’ll Do Farm is a 6th generation family farm located in Southeast Iowa that is run by a father-son duo Tork and Sawyer. Sawyer and Tork are the force behind their family farm taking care of pigs, along with farming the family’s acres. As a hog farmer from Iowa myself, THANK YOU for posting these videos. I have felt like things only happen to me and I just have horrible luck, but now it feels better knowing that it doesn't just happen to me!

    It always amazed me how one pig could keep pushing up on the gate until the flipper moved enough for the pig to open the gate and then run up and down the aisle pushing the flippers up. Pretty soon you got pigs everywhere. And once they learn something is loose…
    Semi-pro tip: make sure your exit doors are secure. 🙂

    Your right not everyday is a good day... I ran a cotton gin for 31 years 12/7 everyday was a Monday... the moment it broke down, I had to bypass the cotton it just had to keep on moving... sometimes if it's not the gin it's the employees, they like to hide and sleep while others were working... after the cotton gin I made parts for General Motors, it's different and easier for me... I worked for 15 years at GM I'm now retired, my wife left me best thing I won the big lottery, ii got 400 million my ex wanted me back... I'm fine being single, I bought a Prevost vacation bus... I get to visit my brother's and sisters and share the intrest with them every year... it's a beautiful life now, I thank God every Day.

    I can relate to pigs breaking out and when that starts to happen it's time to sell, otherwise they will keep doing it. Been down that road to many times even with outside pigs.

    I have a question? When your baby pigs come in the winter are the trucks heated? And is that a issue? Love your videos ! 😀

    • @Jackadoor
      @Jackadoor 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The trailers aren't "heated" per-say. They have winter panels that cover most of the air vents. Then the combined body heat of the pigs keeps them warm enough until they can get to their new home. In the time I've been loading wean pigs in Indiana for farms Central Kansas, I haven't heard of any pigs unaliving themselves due to cold.

    The question most often asked .Did you pin the gate. You know the answer is yes. Why do we ask , nobody wants to say they forgot. Pigs look good just don't make eye contact at that size they might have a heart attack. Merry Christmas.

    • @weeg1014

      Agreed!! But it also can be a gate building issue. There are tricks to building them and making sure the pigs cant get access to pins and loops. Ive been building and installing gates for years and my customers have never had that problem. Good Luck!! Great videos!!

    I just had jail break pigs last week. Let them run the Alley for 20 minutes max and they got other pins open and got mixed up,so frustrating. No dead,but beat up pigs with lots of scratches.
