I've never seen one in bloom. Pretty! Your mom and you have a beautiful garden! I have a 5-ft single stem Madagascar that I've had since it was about 10 in. You are brave to transplant that sucker with bare arms. I wrapped mine in a blanket. LOL I love it, but it''s getting to be a challenge to move it in and out of the house before the winter months.
Thank you! My mom and I definitely try to keep our gardens thriving. I definitely agree, moving plants signs for the winter is a great task within itself. Congratulations on your Madagascar Palm!🌱
I have been there many times when repotting. The frustration of getting the plant out of the pot. If it's a common plant saving the pot may be worth the time. A very nice plant like this I just crack the pot. . Very well done. Your patience is AMAZING !!!
You have a really pretty heart! Your garden is beautiful, and the way you work happily is great~ Your plants look really pretty and fresh Other plants will grow nicely soon, too? I think I came across found a really good channel while surfing TH-cam! Have a nice day! From your new Korean friend
Thank you so much! That's one of the sweetest things anyone has told me. Hopefully all of my plants will grow happy and healthy. I'm glad to have made a new friend. I hope you have a great day as well! 🌱
Ouch my back hurts just watching. Congratulations that was a big job. I’ve got one of those palms that needs repotting, thanks for the inspiration. From the plants in your neighborhood it Looks like you you might live here in south Orange County. 😊
Great looking plant! How long did it take to flower? Mine is about the same age but just developed three branches at the top last season. I'm in Michigan and put it outside for about 4-5 months. Thinking it is time to put it in a bigger pot as well. It's about 6' tall.
That was the first year it had ever flowered! It sounds like you have a good routine for your plant. Repotting might be a bit difficult but it is worth it. This one was really close to toppling over because it was becoming top heavy. It is still thriving!
Thank you! They’re regular leather palm work gloves that you can find at your local big box store for $5/$6 bucks. I’ve even found some at dollar stores.
That's some pain in the but. Mine are still babies and potting them was not fun. I can imagine the pain when they grow big. Maybe next time I'll pot them in larger pot with good drainage and never repot again. Damn!
Not sure if you'll see this but out of curiosity how big was it when you got it? Idk when I'll get my hands on one but I love em, especially with lots of trunks 😊.
Once you got that palm out you made it look easy. Why not just take a hammer to the 10 year old pot it was in. Would have saved you a lot of back ache. Mine has been in the same pot for 12 years.
Honeslty i would sacrifice the pot. It is a lovely pot, but ouch. It hurt to watch it lose a single root. Also, if you had let it get far more rootbound, you would get more of the natural bottle shape. Deep waterings, and rootbound is what really makes them take their natural shape. They like alot of water when watered, and being squished like between rocks/rootbound (some of the most beautiful natural specimens are between rocks) scientifically proven at that.
@@kimberlybatson3575 i can respect that love. I prefer too, not to break a very nice pot. Love her specimen though! Very nice shape for not being hard grown.
@@kimberlybatson3575 i assume that the more important aspect to her is the height/size rather than shape? Would you mind asking her? I love hearing another growers preferences!
Great Job!!!
Thank you! 🌱✨
Great job! I love your side space! So much room for more plants!!!
Thank you!

😹😹😹 It'll do great in your care though!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

It was only one 10” plant when my mother purchased it. It has grown so much in (now) 11 years 😻.
What type of soil did you use, can you list them
They are listed at 1:06. It is: Potting Soil, Perlite and Sand. 🌱
What's your soil mix?
Potting Mix, Perlite & Sand.
Once you got that palm out you made it look easy. Why not just take a hammer to the 10 year old pot it was in. Would have saved you a lot of back ache. Mine has been in the same pot for 12 years.
My mother specifically wanted to keep the pot... What Mama wants, mama gets.
How old is it ?
It’s 12 years old. 😁

Things my mom wanted:
1. That plant in that bigger pot -specifically.
2. For me not to break the original pot.
What mamá wants, mamá gets. 🌱

have you ever been stabbed by it's "tridents"?
The thorns are really sturdy but I think I was poked once and tried my best to not get poked again.😭
Super woman.......... do it by youself
Thank you! ✨🖤🌱
Can we have update please .
I did mine yesterday and it was a little task
