Hi! amazing video! please, can you tell how are the machines connected? I saw on the beggining that after pressing play on Microfreak, all the machines started as well. Are you using MIDI, Clock ? i would love some info about it
Yes the master clock is the microfreak then midi out to the td3 and from the td3 midi out to the volca. I have a mod on the volca sample to send midi out as well and be the master clock but its not very stable
what's the difference between the microfreak and the td-3? I'm trying to build up a very simple setup for ambient / dark techno kind of music... part of that setup would be a distorted synth sound.. I think both can do similar acidlike synths as well, but not sure what's the diiference (well the microfreak costs 3x much, so I'm not sure if it's worthy over the td-3)
hi daniel, not sure if you’ve found your answer elsewhere but the td3 would be best if you’re craving the more classic acid sound and feel. with the microfreak you’ll sacrifice a bit of that og sound for a wider scope of sounds (pads, piano, etc) both great pieces of gear.. the Donner b1 is also close in price range(and acid sound) to the TD-3 & has a sweet built in delay on it(: hope this helped
