When we took our lifestyle tour I had an argument about the bond. Not that there was one but how they refer to it. If you are looking at a $300,000 house and a bond of $25,000, then to me the cost of the house is $325,000 because you can't have a new house without a bond. The sales agent said they are two separate things; the house price and the bond price. I get it but you can't have one without the other. IMO it is the villages way of hiding the TRUE cost of the house.

You all talking about gators, snakes and insects. I did have skunks living underneath our porch.
Last year there was 6 skunks sitting on the porch. And Raccoons. We fixed the issue.
I read on our HOA Facebook, other neighbors are having issues with Skunks too.
Last year 2022, was the first time we had any issues like this. They have taken over the neighborhood.

I guess the power line thing is a concern for some folks. I live maybe half mile from them. If I look down at the end of my street in one direction I can see them if I look up and I take a daily walk on the path along Marsh Bend Trail and pass under them, but it doesn't concern me at all. They are far above me and the area beneath them is landscaped, with walking paths, like a park.

I would get sad when the leaves started turning up north and I did not enjoy raking the leaves. Yes, the two worst months for me were January and February with the grey skies! Most of the hurricane shutters I have seen are on houses on the coast, I have had Friends that live on the coast come stay with me when hurricanes start happening and they have to evacuate. My mother lives in Cape Coral. She rode out the cat 5 hurricane alone in her home without the hurricane shutters due to the bolts rusting and breaking off the neighbors couldn't put them up. She is having hurricane retractable sreens installed in July. You can lower them manually or the come with a remote control to lower and lift which is more expensive. I would suggest getting the remote! Also you can have some visibility through them which is a plus if you have the urge to look to see what the status of your yard is. 😉

My guess at fully furnishing a home was $50,000. She came in under expectations. But we plan to bring most of our furniture, expect our dining room set. Unless we bought a premier home my 60" wide table for 12 would not fit! There should be 3 tiers of furnishing quality: IKEA, Haverty's or Ethan Allen. How much you'll spend basically depends on which tier you're buying in. I know our home insurer USAA has tiers for deciding the value of your belongings for insurance purposes. Thank you for always having such interesting and entertaining shows!

Fell bad for him. At least the bonds are financed over 30 yrs. Don’t think power lines would bother me. Wow. Permission to get a shed but I’m a having a Gardner come weekly or bi weekly. Whatever it takes to stay groomed. Whenever we move, will start over. Know I love my bloopers. 😂. Oh no Linda; a concussion. I give up with the scrambles 😂. Love the SWEET and SALTY 😮🫤🤗. You turned the salty sweet. Love the shoutouts. Omg. I thought of the same movie 🎥 Jerry. Gotta love Gizmo and the jokes. Thanks for sharing and see you Thursday. 🤗

I think of your channel name as referring to being FOR Newcomers. So much great information for everyone! Thank you. p.s. My money is on Jerry doing the voice of Gizmo! 🐶

Paying a mover is less than buying a house full of furniture.

That may be, but, often, the furniture that looks good/appropriate up North doesn’t look so great in a Florida house

Second-hand furniture and marketplace offers a lot of discount or free furniture. East coast and Midwest have a different style of furniture perhaps a little too heavy for Florida in some cases. My house came with furniture and I kept the pieces that I liked and sold the rest or gave it away free on marketplace.
