One of the most difficult thing to do in screen printing is to print jobs that have perfect registration. 99% of off registration issues can be solved by compensating for it when you create your art.
Your print jobs can easily get off register on the printing press due to numerous issues. older presses become misaligned and new presses sometimes have issues to. it;s very hard to print perfect registration every time. I have stated to print many jobs and I will have prefect registration however during the course of printing, my job becomes off - this could be from just spinning the press around and stopping it with my hand - my side clamps have a tendency to slide when I use aluminum screens. It could happen from the smallest, unrecognizable thing.
A good idea is to design your art so that is compensates for registration issues on the printing press. We can do this by using what is called overprinting our fills and outlines. This is a feature that is available in Coreldraw, but it is little known. Overprinting is what is being referred to when you hear videos etc that talk about Spreading and Trapping.
You can do this manually in your designs without plugins. This feature is also done automatically the Corel Print Settings. I will cover then in a later video.
In this video I will explain Spreading and Choking.
