I think the drive up is a challenge and well worth it but going back down is better. You need to concentrate but the view down the valley to Blessington is spectacular. Only about 1.5 hrs drive from Launceston it is well worth the drive. Be aware there is no food or drink there in non ski season and toilets are at the bottom of Jacobs Ladder.
