For express walk-off, you can leave at 7:30 am, but you don't have to. If you do have plans to go to WDW after getting off the ship at Port Canaveral, by all means leave the ship early to maximize your park time. When I was on the Fantasy in February 2024, I did not put my luggage out the night before and nobody rushed me off the ship in the morning just because I hadn't put my luggage out. I had an 8:30-8:45 reservation for breakfast in the dining room that I was able to dawdle over and I was in no hurry to leave as long as I was not the last guest off the ship. There is a time they'll want all guests off the ship, but I don't know what that is. Carrying my own luggage off let me bypass the fine-your-luggage mess in the terminal and go straight to the customs and immigration line.
A few tips. If you have little ones. Take some toys for the dining wait and fir the state rooms. Also when waiting to meet characters. It's boring for them. Take a big bottle to fill up with water fir your room they only supply glasses. Try to get your photos with characters in the first two days before you get tired. We found it hard to sleep with the noises from the ship grinding etc. Don't forget cash for the gratuity envelopes. If you like your own tea and coffee. Take them as theirs is terrible unless you pay. Take a container to bring back snacks to your room from the buffet in case you get the munchies. Or you didn't like the dinner. We had one bad meal. Take casual clothes. We were too over dressed.
All Disney's ships seem to have the problem of not all the elevators going up to the top deck. There's usually only one or two elevators in each elevator bank that goes all the way up. If you need the elevator to go all the way up and that's not the elevator you got on, go as high up as it goes, get off and hit the up button, and the elevator you need will come to take you the rest of the way.
The tip about liquids in tbe terminal is really useful, I dont think this wojld have occurred to me. More great tips - I'll be coming back to these videos a lot before our cruise 😂
Excellent videos. New subscriber! Great help, advice for us. We’re going on the Disney Wish on May 13/2024. Thanks to your videos, we now know what to expect and what to pack. Thank you so much!
I'm confused about the "no drinks in the terminal" rule. I thought each person was allowed to bring either bottled water or 2 bottles of wine onto the ship. Are the people at the terminal going to disallow those liquids as well?
It is confusing! Liquids are not allowed in cups or refillable bottles like if you were checking in through TSA at an airport. Drinks like bottled water or wine have to be packed in your carryon. So I had filled up all our refillable cups with water, carotids, juice, etc and had to dump it all out before they would allow us in. But we had bottled water packed in our carry on. Hope that helps clarify!
They might have creamer at the self serve coffee stations at the buffet location (I can’t recall) but I know for sure there is milk and half and half was delivered with the coffee at room service. We always got ourselves some lattes at the coffee bars which were delicious and you can order a variety of options there (this just costs an extra fee and isn’t included in the cruise cost). If you want a specific flavored creamer you could bring a sealed shelf stable version in your carry on luggage. Hope that helps!
Really great tips and information in your videos Part 1 & 2. I have a question, in part 1 you mentioned you bringing Almond Milk in your day bag, but in part 2 you mentioned they had you dump all liquids? Can you explain this further? I was planning to bring Almond milk but now I’m confused about whether I can or not and if so how. Thank you ☺️
Oh sorry I didn’t make that clear! You can have factory sealed liquid like the shelf stable almond milk, alcohol, or bottled water in your carry on. But no open liquid in sippy cups or tumblers. We had filled up the kids cups with milk and ours with Gatorade and had to dump that out before entering the terminal but the factory sealed liquid packed in the carry on was fine. Hope that helps!
I didn’t try it personally so not sure. I heard other people were able to do it but that was me taking their word for it. So you very well may be right! Thanks for sharing this info!

You don’t tip the porters. Disney said they are like the people who take your luggage at the airport for checking a bag. Full time employees, tipping is not expected.

It’s just very basic to allow the navigator app to work but it is enough to allow some iMessages too! It was sufficient for us!

@@whatifdisneyworld Oh Thank you so much for responding. Our cruise is in July, but I’m doing all my research until then. Thank you again!
are you SURE you can use a park popcorn bucket on the ship? I heard that is not allowed, you have to buy a new "ship bucket" to use.
I didn’t try it personally so not sure. I heard other people were able to do it but that was me taking their word for it. So you very well may be right! Thanks for sharing this info!

@@whatifdisneyworld Thanks i also just formally asked DCL so we will see what they say!
Hello. I have a question: if you aren’t permitted to bring liquids into the terminal, how are we allowed to take alcohol onto the cruise ship?
Sorry I didn’t make that clear! You can take factory sealed liquids like alcohol, water, etc on board in your carryon but you can not bring liquids in sippy cups or tumblers (like our kids milks and our Gatorade in our refillable water bottle) inside the terminal.
@@whatifdisneyworld thank u for the prompt reply! Good information to know.
And I just realized if I read a few more comments I would have seen that u answered the question in the previous thread. My apologies.
Oh that’s fine! Happy to help answer questions for things we didn’t make clear in the video! Thanks for watching! 😊
Just wanna ask do we need to pay when we reseve Palo?
No. We paid at the time of meal and we added gratuity to the cost as well.

What are you going do with all that time you saved by saying Merch instead of that long drawn out word of merchandise!?!
Prob purch mo merch
Perfect answer to a jerk-y comment.
