Hey Supra. I really want to thank you. I´ve problably watched all your CoH videos by now and they´ve really helped me get better at this game. It´s the first and only RTS I´ve played, and I was TERRIBLE at it when I began. But watching your videos has made me a decent player. And even if I don´t watch a video of yours to learn. I still love them because they are so damn fun to watch. Keep it up!
Hey cmasupra, when you were talking about the firestorm cooldown, I think it could've been a neibel or 2. They also do incendiary damage and at the range where you can't see them you normally can't hear them (I think).
If there is something that shows just how much of a noob your opponent is, that is that he starts to call you cheater. I don't like to say noob or anything to other players, because I don't feel superior to anyone, but I do get mad when they can't take the loss and start calling you cheater instead of viewing their errors, I mean, I normally bow my head in respect when the other player beats you, because they played better than you, as simple as that. Besides, is OBVIOUS that there where a Casualty Clearing Station, after all he destroyed one, and as for the tanks, the guy just showed the REAR armor of the Panthers to your units...
Cmasupra, multi means is short for multiple, multiple is more than one, so multiplayer means more than one player, two player counts as multiplayer, duo player is also a valid term, but you don't need to fuss over not calling it multiplayer.
Cmasupra, I noticed you went Royal Engineers but never used the hull down ability on any of your tanks. Did you not know about it or just care not to use it? You were having to run your fireflies away from you opponents panthers but had you used hull down I think you may have stood a chance 1 on 1. According to the company of heroes wiki, hull down provides a 25% armor increase while negating all damaged received to 75%. What are your thoughts on this?
I don't trust Hull Down. I've lost far too many tanks while using it because the opponent is simply able to flank around you. I knew I didn't have enough AT to support a hull down Firefly, so I didn't bother. I preferred mobility.
I really stumbuled on your videos, and i really enyoj COH, i had a lot of fun with COH vanilla, I am just wondering is game still alive? I was really dissapointed with COH 2, just a cash grab with commanders.
CoH1 is alive. There aren't too many people still playing it, but the wait time is usually under 3 minutes for me to get a game. It actually sometimes took longer back when CoH2 didn't exist! lol.
It's not bad to worry about your infantry, but as you become better at the game, you'll start to be able to predict the outcome of each battle and not have to keep such a close eye on your infantry. Then you can do other things while your infantry fight.
Your opponent is pretty decent id say... he just does not make proper use of the king tiger..the germans have many ways of winning on this fight he would have won if he used nebelwerfers and pak 43's and have the king tiger lead the assault with panthers and infantry but anyways GG...
I am so bad with the Brits and if I do an automatch I get British the most (rekt). About the 2nd match: (I lost so much time with Brits on Angoville) So I don't know other British strategies than camping but I think if the opponent has good Munition income (In this case at least 60/min 1 Stuka/2,5 mins) Stukas could be so deadly, I don't know why he didn't do that. The other he could've done is attacking from North and either West or South. And a question: Is there anything that can make me better in this game than I'm now? I learned so much from these videos but is there anything that can make me better? And how does the CoH leaderboard work? I mean I started not so long ago, played a few matches, left with LV1, 1 week out, I come back, LV3... And I'm just O_O (intense music)
You are right that my opponent really could have used his munitions toward Stukas and done a lot to me. He did try attacking me from the West and South and failed every time because my forces were still mobile enough to deal with him, though. The #1 tip to get better at any strategy game is to watch your own replays and think about what you could have done better. For example, if you see a squad just sitting around, think about what else it could have been doing. Providing line of sight, placing mines, capping a point, or something else. If you see you did badly in a fight, think about why you did badly. Was your micro bad? Did you not have enough line of sight to see everything your opponent was bringing in the attack? Things like that.
I watch every one of my replays that doesn't end in 5 minutes because my opponent drops or goes AFK and I just pwn them. When I lose a game, I watch the replay and realize some of my bad moves. For example when I overused mines and even went for Infantry Doctrine just to allow my Rifles to set up mines then at the end I got rushed by at least 4 Panthers, 1-2 StuHs, 3-4 Ostwinds and a Tiger, then I saw my opponent used Manpower Blitz to make the reproduction faster and I can remember that match had a funny moment where my 3 man Rifle Squad vs 5 man MP40 Volks, I say throw a grenade then Shiftclick Retreat, last guy throws grenade, gets killed, but the grenade blows the whole 5 man Volks Squad so yeah that last guy was a real BADASS even tho they were vet 0
Yes I saw your videos before and they gave me a very good and deep look in this game like MG42 has more supression while 30.cal has more damage and I begined play multiplayer not long ago, I played the Campaigns and tons of Skirmishes, before your videos I could barely handle Hard AI, now I once defeated Expert, but it reks me most of the time and I learned from a replay even if it should have 270/min MP income, it still has like 2x more. Hard AI is now just a shooting range for my soldiers. Back to multiplayer as I said not so long ago I figured out with your help how to go multiplayer (Steam activation) and thank you again for that, and it realy has a difference with Skirmishes
Good. Just so you know (although it seems like you may have figured it out already), the Expert AI cheats. They get extra resources and tech up as quickly as possible. Real players don't do that, so don't get used to fighting opponents who tech up as quickly as possible. Back when I was new, I could beat the Expert AI, but I found that I did worse against real people after practicing against the Expert AI than when I practiced against Hard AI just because the Hard AI plays more like a real person. I recommend getting good at Hard AI and then just going online and facing people. Expert AI can make a good player worse.
What is this game? Countering Camp with moar Camp, Countering Panthers with Churchills, Random V1s and the utter lack of any combined arms strategies from both sides. My goodness, my eyes are amused by this game, but my brain tells me it is utter nonsense. A breakdown: When you saw the mg bunkers, you should have immediately put your command truck on a high fuel for a fast steward into cromwells. The combination of these two tanks, plus munitions for canister shots, is extremely deadly for Wehr tier two-4. Vehicles would have allowed you more map control, and be able to do base raids. The Wehr player, while he did have some high points, did not have any sort of combat capable force. All you had to do was prevent him from getting any other points and got out vehicles. Also, I never see any fireups with the LT for sappers, and that is just a huge no no! The Royal Commandos would have allowed you to do base raids as well. In conclusion, it was a poor choice to Counter camp a camping Wehr, but it did make for a very interesting video. P.s: have to give props to the tenacity of your opponent here, he stayed till the end. I would have left when the King Tiger died, but then again.... i would have built stukas against camping brits.
You do have a point about putting my HQ onto the fuel point when I saw the bunkers. I'm just so used to going for munitions to hurt my opponent's Manpower that I didn't strongly consider it. My opponent definitely was tenacious! He kept at it until the very end.
actually if you take a churchill to face a panther, the churchill is nearly impossible to kill the panther, simply the 6 pounder cannon was trash. The churchill will last a little longer cuz the armor was thick. So I will use firefly instead.
haha, this is the worst british play I have ever seen. has hull down - does not hull down his tanks. has engineers nearby as panther demolishes his bunkers and bofors - keeps them uselessly away. I thoroughly enjoyed this.
6 years later this video is still helping me play the british thank you cmasupra

Glad to hear it! Seems like you are getting both of the things I strive to provide in my videos: teaching and humor :)
Trade 1 King Tiger for a fucking firefly is a great job.
*clap clap*
You still making coh videos?!?! I just found your videos and they are very good. I love this game.
Oh and I subscribed :)
The secret to Brit domination = 3 lt's. Behold 1 piat squad annihilate a ostwind without taking any damage.
The German should get snipers to deal with Brits' inf
Awesome video! Thank you!

Firestorms are much faster to come down. You can hear nebels. And there was never t3
can't stop watching your videos :D btw about making a game for each one of the doctrines of the 4 factions?
Perhaps I will. Not a bad idea!

@@pascalmcmenamy281 that is the joke

It was only a joke. Colloquially, multi means 2+. Scientifically, it means 3+. Just poking fun at the English language.
cmasupra oh, ok
Wtf how did he get an ostwind in the first few minutes? Before you even have a captain? Observation posts op apparently

you said it costs 1000 for king tiger its 500,, when did u film this?
M 500 is the price but u also lose 100 manpower for 5 minutes. so 1000
Loled when the Tier 2 Truck bust through the brick wall at 11:08. Do you have any good American strat videos?
Anyone in 2021?
I really stumbuled on your videos, and i really enyoj COH, i had a lot of fun with COH vanilla, I am just wondering is game still alive? I was really dissapointed with COH 2, just a cash grab with commanders.

Wow that guy...
What a ... weird game.
Indeed! :D
Hey! do you custom matches / skirmish matches with people? would be nice to play with you in that :)
I am so bad with the Brits and if I do an automatch I get British the most (rekt).

Sounds like you already know how to analyze your own replays, so just keep at it and you'll get better.

I'm glad to see a new CoH video on youtube,
but you both played really terrible I gotta say :D
