Here I am, seemingly 3 days of Lights everywhere, topped off with an actual pop...then large flame spouting straight up from under my 12" skillet on stove top...hearing a scream from upstairs...."What are you doing!! I can't breath up here".... I said, "oh nothing, just a pop and a flame, I put it out". Then boom, boom, feet running down stairs screaming. I said, "I put it out, it was a pot holder stuck under the skillet, I got it, it's ok, it is what it is, now I clean up the mess". I was smiling real big, he was not impressed 💜 When I woke up this am, I heard... "The air I breathe ", then I remembered that was a song, I said Yippee Jesus has another play list. It was amazing. The Hollies!! , then came.." he ain't heavy, he's my brother". 🥰 Next, INXS - "Never tear us apart", "She talks to Angels", and "I remember you", (Skid Row). "Nothing compares to you". Lastly, Clapton, "Tears in Heaven". Then this awesome lesson💜 It seems, Here I am wondering, do I even need the air that I breathe?? 🤔 Hallelujah
🙏 Today rushed by. I like to listen to ACIM with David over a cuppa tea in the garden. Here I am, at 22.44 at night and despite the late hour and early rise, listened to today's reading. Then I wrote out the affirmation ! It will be perfect for the long road trip tomorrow at 6.30 am. I will see the dawn over the African landscape with this perfect affirmation. Today, with all its twists and turns was filled with joy. From finding a pitbull in the kitchen at 3 am (he was hungry and I fed him) to a medical appointment (first face to face with a doctor since 2019... testing for peripheral neuropathy) and a endless cycle of intrigues and problems on my mothers farm that even Agatha Christie would say was a top heavy plot line, I smiled and felt JOY. All day. JOY and gratitude. Tomorrow it starts again and I welcome every moment. May Jesus bless my sleep and should he take me while I sleep, my soul to keep. (My version of a childhood prayer a little friend said back in the 1970s) I can't remember it but it has come back the last few months. At 53, I bless every day with happiness since I turned half a century old. What a true blessing to have ACIM, and especially David read it to me. What a wonderful second half century j have entered. Light and JOY and Peace abide in me, My sinlessness is guaranteed by God. I am tickled. I say and sing the "Jesus Prayer" every day. ACIM showed me the little joke. God is waiting for us, as we say the prayer, to realize our prayer was answered even before we asked. "Lord Jesus Christ, the Living Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner" is the Jesus Prayer. It was answered before the very first time I uttered it in the early 1990s. But my ego hid this from me for 3 decades. It was answered before I was born. How blessed am I, to see His Light and Love and Joy, in me. 🙏
The Jesus Prayer (even though we know it is asked and answered already) is featured in “The way of the pilgrim” a book full of pure devotional love, just like you. ❤
"Light and peace and joy abide in me. Light and peace and joy abide in YOU. You are that one that is made and created in the image of that which you would call God - a beautiful Creator, a unique expression of the Divine, sacred in all ways! Be kind to yourselves. Respect yourselves. Do not let others beat you up or put you down. Understand that you are as God created you! " Thank you, David.
"It is a truly wonderful thing when all of the untrue ideas, all of the hateful thoughts, all of the judgments, and all of the petty disturbances have left your mind, and you are at peace! It is something that is worth more than anything else that you can chase or buy or possess in this three-dimensional world you call reality. Today we let go of all thoughts of evil, darkness, and sin. Today we let go of all fixed beliefs that would make separation seem real." Thank you, David.
One of my most favorite lessons! I work hard on keeping these thoughts deep in my heart, day in and day out. Pausing for love throughout my day I also offer this to co-workers, especially ones I feel resistant to. Never ceases to amaze how much it works. Mind blowing! Much gratitude and love David ♡
