Beautiful! But it seems like these are the same routines for every other Chamorro dance numbers ive seen in live and on videos before, just different layouts and rotations of placements. Feels like i watched the same dances but different songs. Just saying.

i love that yall are reprisenting us chamorus in the states but........ what is up with all that "polynesian (tahitian)" scream??????????
the poly "cheeehoooo" is actually all over micro cultures!!!!! but, that girl scream is strictly "french polynesian (cook islands/tahiti)" lmao!!!! making us "sound" bad

Noah J Castro Hahah you must be deluded . Micros n Polynesian people are the two more genetically related groups of oceania. for you to say the cheehoo is strictly poly is dumb. 1. stop using the white terms to separate us brothers and sisters of the sea for we all come from one common ancestor ( if you didnt know that, i advise that you seek an education before you run your ignorant mouth ) . 2. cheehoo is a pacific term in all island nations. its like youre saying “ only the “Polynesians” wore grass wear and built huts”. which is dumb . youre young and ignorant and need to stop thinking poly micro mela - nesian. were all relatives connected through the ocean . Bula Guinaiya / Alofa tele / nui ke aloha . learn

o’asaina ma’ase Chamorros didn’t say “cheehoo” nor did we do the Tahitian scream he was referring to as well. Actually there is no account or written record that Chamorros even performed the dances portrayed in this video. The outfits and movements above are very similar if not exactly from Hawaiian hula. Chamorros did not wear grass skirts. Chamorros were naked and only the Chamorri or upper caste Chamorro nobles were allowed to wear forms of clothing. We may be all connected although there are still distinctions between our cultures. Malekña hao fa’nå’gue hit naya.

Dude Micros from other parts of the region has their own.Never in history did we shout out "Cheehoo".Ours is "Waiooo/Weeeooo" for cheering during cultural dances, feasts and such.
Don't group other native Micros with Chamorros.Their culture is just.....tragically too lost. While the rest of us keep intact with ours.
