Hi Maria, gosh you still looked so fresh after a 17 hour flight. Don`t forget that you were already up from about 06:00 am for your 10:05. Then clearing the airport and getting to your hotel. We are now talking almost 24 hours !!!!! Even with two crew rest periods, its still hard work as you don`t get much sleep during them. Love your VLOG :)

Hi there, I fly Emirates a lot (16 flights this year, so far) and I think I actually flew with you on the A380 upper deck DXB-BKK. Can it be? Either way, I have a question; When you're on a ultra long haul flight, are you then also allowed to have time off to sit during the flight, or do you take a break when time allows?
I had the same question and saw you already posted it, so I'll let her explain. My guess is that on trans continental flights (maybe 10+ hrs) they fly 2 stes of crews. I have noticed on such long haul flights, about half way through new faces start appearing and they all look fresh & crisp.
St. Devil On the A380 that would mean more than 40 crew, which I don't think would be possible. I few extra crew and then alternate I guess is how they do it. But we see what she says.

Infinite Flight Aviation Greg I know there is, but not for not for double crew. Relief crew yes.
No, there is definitely no double crew, but there are rest areas on the large planes and when the passengers become calmer/sleep (they dim the lights at some point during the flight to encourage passengers to go to sleep), the crew can sleep/rest in shifts.

Are Emirates cabin crew specific to aircraft type or do they rotate between 777 and A380?
Hey! We have batches trained specifically for A380 and for Main Fleet B777 and A330, but we do not have any more A330. Focus is on expansion of our A380 fleet. That's why Crew are trained for both A380 and B777 these days :)

I love both :) B777 is a beautiful crew-friendly fleet :), A380 is a wow for customers :) So both are mine :)

The uniform is lovely, but it seems like it could be a bit cumbersome inflight when assisting passengers (i.e. serving drinks, dinner, etc.) The scarf seems like it could get hung up on something. Is that a concern for the flight attendants?
Rosenberg, they take off the hat and the long scarf when the plane takes off. I have flown with Emirates 4 times.
yes, we take off the hat as soon as all aircraft doors are closed!

И английский, я полагаю, она знала на хорошем уровне еще до работы в emirates. Так что пребывание в арабской стране здесь не играет столь большую роль.
Вообще, про свой акцент Мария естественно знает, и раз он в таком виде есть, значит, скорее всего, она так произносит специально, возможно из соображений некоего словестного "шарма".
Дело субъективно во мне, я немало времени потратила, чтобы мой русский акцент был не столь заметен, поэтому исключительно мне он так режет слух и вызывает недоумение.

why are flight attendants required to be beautiful/sexy?? they're not modeling or running for Miss whatever lol...and why don't they hire handsome/sexy men then for us female travelers so we can also have something nice to look at?
nawal10 depends on the airline you work for. Same thing applies with fancy restaurants, like for host and servers they want girls that attract people with looks to get more customers. It works but yeah it sucks for some people.

Yeah Men add weight. Hainan airlines has some Men attendants. I think its a good idea on some of the larger aircraft to have a couple guys working. Lots of horror stories out there of drunk passengers behaving poorly. Its not just looks that get you a job as an attendant. Seems like you have to be a very hard worker with great attitude & most of all love to fly. If you want to work on an airplane I can tell you right now they do it because they love it. Guess what they're doing on Christmas,new years,wedding anniversaries, their kids bdays? Yup they're flying and they are happy to do it.

Adrian Boreta it's not easy to get rid of an accent. The "r" pronunciation is part of it. Only children and very young teenagers manage a full accent new specific to the country and it all comes naturally. It's not something you can learn.
No one is going to speak differently because you don't like an accent. Not to mention, there is not such thing as an Eastern European accent. Also, Americans have a pretty strong pronunciation of the "r" as well so not sure why are you targeting a part of Europe
