Charlie, your videos have been such an inspiration and source of enjoyment for me. Casi siento que eres mi amigo en la vida real. My listening and reading are getting pretty good, but I wish I were as fearless as you with the speaking part (I'm working on it). Andrea is clearly an amazing teacher.
🙌🙌🙏 thanks for these kind words. Andrea really is a super friendly teacher! I really do still have a fear of speaking to strangers but I talk a teachers like Andrea really help kill that fear 😁. Try booking a lesson with her.
I thought the exact same thing when I started. I was 40 and I’m dyslexic and I dropped out of the ninth grade.😬. I promise you you can do it!My buddy Jason is taking lessons now once a week and I’m sitting in on them he’s 48 🙌
She’s impressive. If I take a class with her, she would be the 3rd instructor I stole from you. LOL Can you do a video on how you choose your instructors in Italki. What types of things do you look for.
🙌 that’s awesome I 100% recommend Andrea👍👍. I’m about to book her 10 week package but I’m gonna talk to her about it on Monday and hopefully share that conversation too.
I do an average of two hours a week on Italki. 🤗It might just be an excuse that I blame on dyslexia, but I’ve never read a novel in my life in Spanish or in English.😳. My entire Spanish journey summed up is starting with Rosetta Stone and or Duolingo for the first six months, and then continuing Duolingo pretty much every day while taking Spanish lessons weekly on italki from about the six month mark. I’m not doing a specific course or dialect 😬. In four years I have taken a little over 400 Italki lessons.

How many hours a week are you talking on italki? Do you make notes? Are you reading any novels? If yes can you give examples of book titles?
Thanks
