Love these hacks. Definitely relate to the feeling of being spent and angry and wanting them to JUST go to sleep already

Hi Avital! Do you cook dinner really early? I often can not get away around 4 to have a moment of rest because i am cooking and then after dinner i do the washing up. I go into bed time very used up and often my flight or fight kicks in and it feels like my only option is to fight and yell. It's no good. Recently I've been asking Jesus to help me be a better mother and giving my angry feelings to him. He has filled me up with so much grace and given me extra stamina and love to give the children. The ocean is so big and my boat is so small, I can't rely on the perfect bedtime routine because my life has a very full work load with little assistance but I do have a perfect Lord who imparts unto me his wisdom amd strength. So much love to you and the whole common sense parenting community ♥

Hey Jorde! I feel you! Years ago I actually started prepping dinner in the morning, not cooking it quite fully - but having it all ready to cook - because I find that I'm so much more energetic early in the morning than I am at 4pm. Might this be a possibility for you? Check out the studio hifam.com/studio for my full coaching and community program because that's where I really break down all the family habits that can make the biggest difference.

So 200 lumens and 2700k seem to be the best lighting brightness and color for sleep induction. Has anybody effective installed these lights for their bathroom for for bathtime and do you notice a difference?

Very good and inspiring message you gave Avital ❤ I'm so guilty of going to bed angry/upset with my kids, I really need to do better! Thank you for this timely reminder

So the kids eat dinner less than 2 hours before bed? Doesn't that affect quality of sleep?

I think an hour or more of no eating before bed is optimum, what do you think?

How can you shower at 16:00? It's not even evening yet at that time. 🙈 Also you can't leave a toddler alone while showering and stuff. Pickups haven't finished at that time, there are hobbies late at night, home work for kids and stuff. Also you bathe kids first and eat later? Doesn't sound logical. 🫣

Maybe not for you! It can be perfectly logical and practical for them. Maybe school finishes earlier where they live. In a previous video she said they all wake up at 5 so it makes sense to put kids to bed as early as 7. We wake up at 7 am and my kids are in bed at 8 pm 😊

I agree - different families, different daily flows. We, too, have an earlier schedule then most - we try to make it a priority but i do feel it is contrary to many others (e.g. hobbies or extra curricula only offered in the evening). But thats ok for now😊
