I freakin' LOVE The Warning! They are another band that I can fangirl over all day. The sounds they produce, the vocals they have, and in this video...they basically went metal for a small chunk of it at the end? LIKE WHAT! I love that they are a hard rock group, but I wouldn't be opposed to them making a metal album or doing a collab in a metal band.
Don't forget to like and subscribe!

They perform like this in front of 50 or 50,000. The best live rock trio today. A must-see concert. I saw them in October and I can still hear Ale's bass. ❤
Aarrrrgggghhhh!! I was supposed to see them in September at one of the two shows cancelled due to hurricane. Will be happening this year tho.🤞 🤞
that is the best part lol
Yes , Yes .... The best Mexican world class all time rock band ...
Yes!!! Saw them twice this year in small venue and they rocked the place!! Pittsburgh and Toronto
Take a blender, put inside, classic rock, hard rock, heavy metal, punk, nu metal, a small amount of pop and k-pop and mix it all together... The result is the sound of The Warning.
Well said ⚡️
That's pretty damn accurate! I'm stealing that the next time someone asks "what kind of music do they play?"
Have to add Sibling Magic to make it sparkle ✨💎💖
De acuerdo
This is the closest thing in my 61 years that comes to a perfect freaking song and performance! The Warning just rocks!
I'm the same age. While never being a full blown music fanatic, I've been exposed to a thundering herd of bands over the decades, including most of the iconic groups. Never seen a better, tighter, more charismatic group. The Villarreal sisters are next level.
First concert I've been to in years. Saw them all before but this epic. I'm 64
I'm 73, grew up with rock, remember when Elvis was controversial, was a Beatles fan, have heard most rock acts of any note. The Warning are top tier. They have dedicated themselves to making music from young childhood and have the talent to make it happen. They are the best young rock band in the west right now.
Check out The Warning from Pol'and Rocks 2024. They began their set at midnight right after Electric Callboy but still had an enthusiastic crowd.
That crowd may have also been the most "stoned" I have seen a crowd for a The Warning show. ;-)
@@KabukiKidalmost a certainly. Perhaps one of the California festivals but that would be a guess
Extending the outro was the only thing missing from this song. Metal af 🤘
Yeah, doubling the ending halftime breakdown was heavy af! Perfect choice... and I hope they keep doing that with this song going forward live! :-)
The Warning once played playback for a show because they had to. They said afterwards, we'll never do that again, that's not us.
It was on a Monterrey TV station when they were very young. They did two or three songs, and actually did very well. But obviously it was a formative experience since they have never done it since!
"They kill it live" that is a fact, this ladies are insane, they're just incredibles, I love them
As fans love to say... "live is their superpower." Truer words don't exist. ;-)
The incredible bass sound comes from Dany playing a custom Fender Stratocaster baritone guitar, which means that it has a longer neck, which lets her use thicker strings, normally tuning it in B, 4 semitones lower than a standard guitar tuning, but Dany down tuned it in A, which is 7 semitones lower and Ale is also down tuning her bass in drop A to give it a bassier tone.
To me The Warning is not hard rock, The Warning has a unique style that I call The Warning style, some songs are metal, some are hard rock, some are funk, some are alternative, etc. and some are even in multiple styles like this one, for which you can dance and headbang in the same song.
Their style is well defined : that's Hardcore Warnal !
Rock Total
🫣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🫣have you heard about The Cars?tell what kind of music is it punk alternative or Rock?
Yes; I always call them "their own genera". 😋
First of all, Holy Shit, but they are the best trio rock band of this generation, especially live!!!! They are masters at writing and performing catchy toons that are so enjoyable. I consider their sound as Arena Rock.
These women absolutely RULE! They can, and have, much softer AND much harder when they want to. DPA4ever!!
Love how you touched on how, even when they’re singing in unison, there is a beautiful and almost harmonious quality to their gang vocals. It absolutely is magical! They are fast forward on their way to Legendary status.
Not that The Warning make a lot of mistakes but they do embrace the Beethoven philosophy of "To play a wrong note is inconsequential but to play without passion is inexcusable". The do play with a backing track and a click track but they don't hide it and they play everything on their backing tracks and use them to augment their show. There have been plenty of times the backing track computer died but the audience had no idea anything happened. If you want to check out their more metal (I'm old school were Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden are metal not the crappy screamo whiner metal of today) side have a listen to Queen of the Murder Scene, Exterminated, P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C. and Z...
Well, The Warning did play at Wacken, a huge metal festival, this year, so you're right about that.
So did the Scorpions (actually a headliner) who are even less metal, in my honest opinion.
@@arctic_haze Well, if you don't think Scorpions are metal, there's nothing anyone can do for you.
@killermonjero Not but today standards of what is considered metal.
@@arctic_haze You make me sad.
@killermonjero Frankly, there was a time I did not count them as a proper rock band but rather a weird boys band, as I knew them for their extremely sweet ballads.. But your mileage might vary.
They just released their show in poland 2024, It`s an awesome show, check it out. Pol`and Rocks !
YOU GOTTA SEE THE OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO !!! EPIC PERFORMANCE FOOTAGE !
I've been a Patreon supporter of theirs since the beginning. So much fun watching them grow. They keep getting better.
They may not listen to much metal, but I can tell they love to play the heavier stuff. Sharks is a more metal song if you want to check it out.
It's the final track on their latest album, and perhaps my favorite song on the album. Ale's bass is so sick; the Thunder Mother indeed. She turned 20 this month.
They did get famous covering Metallica's 'Enter Sandman', so they're not new to metal. I guess it's just not how they generally prefer to write. But if you haven't heard it yet, they did recently cover 'You Outta Know' by Alannis Morissette.
Still currently my favorite song by them and it was incredible to see it live from the rail here in Detroit in September. The Warning is well known not to use recorded music, other than a few backing tracks, when playing live. One of the few bands left to do so.
Dany's "effect" is simply her striking the strings between the nut and the pegs.
I prefer the original MV that was created by a recent college grad.
I was at the Detroit show also...amazing
@@jamesmosier6697 Where were you? I was up on the rail right in front of Ale.
It's a complete change of pace but their vocals (lead and harmonies) on "Revenant" are amazing. Their performance of the song at Teatro Metropolitan was awesome.
Wonderful reaction. This song definitely has weight, I believe it's in drop "A". Dany uses a baritone guitar to get that low. MTV went all-out in the stage production, which was awesome to see. The official music video also included pyrotechnics, which was a first for them. The pick scrape above the nut is a nice touch. This may be heavy, but it's not the heaviest from the album. Check "Sharks".
Anton added some really tasty drum loops to Sharks. What a good producer can add to a song. Yes it is tuned way down, like drop A too, but the loop especially live where they can add in a few 10s of thousands of watts of subwoofers to the mix is everything.. Or in the case of Germany or Poland a few 100k.. I have 6k here at home and wish I had more for these two tracks.
There are a couple of fan cams that are worth watching. One at floor level and one from the nosebleed section. Dany said she was glad there was pyro because she was really cold.
That lighting and stage rig (including the integrated pyro) is just insane. I realize this is the same rig for everyone that played at this show; but whomever programmed it for them did an awesome job. And yes; strumming "above the nut" was pretty common in the '60s to the '80s. For whatever reason, it has fallen out fashion in recent years. It's nice to see it again these days.
And of course, the "copyright issue" is mostly to the MTV corporation "owning" this performance, not the band. If they had their way, all of these would be open to any (legitimate) reactor... but the only way guarantee that is to only do videos from their own channel. Any other channel - especially those owned by specific corporate interests - you just roll the dice and see what happens.
The progression from the home basement to this is crazy. Like you said, the lights and production here are like a Broadway spectacle. Pro-shot TV with the closeups and clear audio is a lot of pressure, but you'd never know they feel any. Total pros. Love your thoughtful comments and animated review style.
This band is just special. They are a band best enjoyed live and they always deliver.
My favorite version of this song is still the Tecate Pa'l Norte festival live video, set to the studio audio. Ale's bass slide intro is just insane in it. Plus it shows off the talent of the entire The Warning team. Do love the extended outro on this version ❤❤❤
The Warning- Queen of the murder scene.
Mexico City is going to be insane!
Oh si !
Paulina lo a dicho, las fechas en el Auditorio Nacional de la Ciudad de México serán "THE SHOW", refiriéndose a que están preparando algo realmente espectacular ! ❤😊
I just hope they’ll bring some of that CDMX energy to their show in Monterrey.
A great performance of this great song, and MTV game them the epic level of effects support they deserve!
10:21 those vocals that come in there are on a per-recorded backing track to just add layers to Dany's vocals. But she was a bit late coming back in after hyping up the crowd.
"Automatic Sun" from The Warning's 2024 album Keep Me Fed explores the feeling of being drawn to someone whose energy and warmth create an irresistible yet confining pull, much like the gravity of the sun.
In their Track by Track video, the band shared that this was the last song written for the album and became its natural closer. They finalized the music first, focusing on riffs and melodies, before settling on lyrics that captured the concept of an "automatic sun." The rhythmic elements were noted as a standout feature, with the outro serving as the ideal way to end the album.
The version performed at the MTV EMAs included a breakdown at the end that was extended to twice the length of the studio version, giving this live performance a distinct and intensified feel. The music video for the song uses live footage from the Tecate Pa'l Norte Festival set to studio audio.
Tecate Pal Norte festival (studio version)is my favorite version.. I really could see the video you played. Use the stuff from The Warning official TH-cam channel. You don't worry about blocking.. My favorite new song by The Warning is SHARKS 🌏✌️
I see that someone has clued you in on the tuning and that Dany is playing a baritone guitar. The effect that you were talking about toward the beginning of the song is Dany strumming the strings above the nut of the guitar. The nut is the little piece at that separates the fretboard from the headstock. The strings up there obviously aren't fretted and don't have nearly as much bend/give to them as they do below the nut, but they can be swiped with the pick for a different type of sound. "Angry Chair" by Alice in Chains was the first song where I was conscious of the strings being played above the nut. Also, my beloved Rolling Quartz does it in their cover of Dreamcatcher's "Goodnight" and in their newest song, "RE:BOLD" which may be their best yet and you should totally check out.
The Warning- So young and so good…looking forward to the next 10 years from these amazing sisters!
🤘👩🧑🏼🦰👩🏻 🤩
On the guitar 'trick", she's strumming (or raking) the strings above the nut while holding a bar chord on the 2nd fret the first 2 times and what sounds like an 'open' chord on the last one, (it almost sounds like a harmonic), as she moves her hand to the 1st "official" notes of the verse. Since she's on an electric, you get the sound amplified quite nicely. EVH used to do it periodically also.
Automatic Sun is by FAR their best song off KMF. I've seen them twice at a small venue in Chicago for the Error tour. My chest hurt for a 3 days afterwards. These ladies are the real deal!

Seen them play live twice now. Once in Tokyo with Band Maid & once in nearby Cleveland
Sadly the audio at the Cleveland venue wasn't great. The Tokyo show had studio quality lights & sound
Think that that concert will forever be the bar by which all other show's will now be set
My fave song off their new album! They played this at both those concerts too!
The bass intro is a slap of happiness 😊 ❤
The guitar effect at the beginning is produced by strumming across the strings above the nut on the neck. You can do it with most guitars but it sounds better with a Fender for some reason. Dany has rarely played a Fender prior to their latest album, although she has a Fender Acoustisonic that she has been using for acoustic performances of late. I think she likes the longer neck of the baritone Fender she uses here. I doubt she would want to play it for an entire set, though. That guitar is a beast to heft around. And you gotta remember that Dany is around 5'3" or so and maybe 105 pounds at the most.
Yeah, the use of the Fender baritone here is because of the crazy Drop-A tuning they use for this song. Even Ale swaps out her bass for this song to have an A-E-A-D-G tuning... rather than her usual B-E-A-D-G. Ale's usual tuning handles basically everything else they play, but not "Automatic Sun." ;-) Also... with that tuning on a baritone, Dany surely also uses thicker strings than she normally uses, or it would probably sound too sloppy. Dany pulls out the baritones basically only for the Drop-A (this song) and Drop-D (like "Sharks") stuff they do... which is basically KMF songs. Her PRS is definitely a lighter and more comfortable guitar to play with... I'm Dany's height and also a woman who plays guitar... so yeah... finding a guitar that doesn't wreck your back is wise. ;-)
Hey Nittpic. They have played this on an intimate level on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, small stage, very close to the small crowd. Same power and energy, with beautiful close ups, especially Dany. On a large stage at the Tecate Pa’l Norte where drones filmed the concert and crowd. The Pau Cam captured some of Pau’s greatest moments. But Dany was just charged with static electricity, her hair flaring out, making her look like the sun! Then in Poland, on the biggest stage. The complex and colorful lighting overhead made it look like they were opening a portal with their music. Playing in front of 50,000 fans! First time I heard this I was gritting my teeth, clenching my hands into a fist and that outro felt like being gut-punched! The ‘trick’ that Dany did with her guitar at the beginning, in the song Sharks Ale does a similar ‘trick’ with the bass.
The technique where Dany plays the strings above the nut is fairly rare, I've only seen 2 others do it, Marcin and Lucas Barr. I'd be curious where Dany picked it up.
Matt Bellamy probably.
@@boxychubbo6922 Yup, Matt had done this in one of Muse's songs.
@@boxychubbo6922 Thank You, that would make sense.
@@FunEcar Good to know, thank you.
That performance for sure was better than than the studio album version (and that was pretty epic).
No better Ending than this, so far...lol
Sharks, from Keep Me Fed is the hardest track on the album. Pau's only lead vocal on the album.
Great setup with the pyro.
Even the tape that’s usually used to show where to place equipment is digital. Once the band is all set up they can turn the “tape” marks off for the performance. The Warning has endlessly praised the EMAs for their production. (& yes, they said the pyro was HOT… Aesthetically AND temperature😉)
Tienes que reaccionar más a las wawas! You need to do more from the Pepsi center concert at CDMX. You will be blown away!
This song is unanimously the band's favorite on the new record Keep Me Fed. For this performance, they doubled the half-time "metal" outro because, honestly, it was too short as it was. As others have mentioned, Sharks is even "harder" and works very well for live. Before the record was out, Pau said she wanted to ask the crowd to make a pit when they would play it, and she does every time, including at Wacken.
Awesome song and performance. The heavy outro fantastic. I hope their next album includes some pure h.m. tracks. FYI: this was an extended outro from the studio track, which I wish they had done for the studio track.
AS is their consensus favorite track on the Keep Me Fed album and their fave to play live. I recommend the song "Hell You Call A Dream" live from the November 2023 Pepsi Center CDMX concert. 👍😎
Presentación Épica
This song is very much a nod to Muse and Royal Blood who they toured with in Europe especially the ending part which is Royal Blood through and through.
I think I’ve seen a snippet from the Error album studio sessions where producer David Bendeth shows Dany the trick strumming the strings above the edge of the fretboard.
It's playing behind or above the nut. Some musicians pluck or pick individual strings. You can also play behind the bridge (other end) for an interesting sound.
Dany does an awesome job with it, and who better to learn it from than the great David Bendeth.
The warning can and will write a prog metal album one day. They have the talent. But they can also write a pop álbum If they wish.
Exacto, son una banda COMPLETA su espectro musical es super amplio.
Excellent my friend... excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great reaction. Great presentation on a great stage. Keep Rockin' my friend 🤘⚡🤘
Okay, I can't believe you've only reacted to four songs by the Warning! You are so far behind! Also, you said you were gonna react to a song where Pau sings! So the way I see it, you owe us! You can do these three songs separately, OR, better yet, do all three songs in one reaction.

All three from the Pepsi Center CDMX concert. You will not be sorry. And trust me, the Warning fans (army) will be there for it.
I love your reactions. Your enthusiasm and sincerity shine. Keep up the good work, BUT MORE OF THE WARNING!
By the way, you also need to react to Hell You Call a Dream from the Pepsi Center.
Thank you,

There's a Canadian hard rock trio that you need to know about-Freeze The Fall. Quinn 17, guitar and vocals, Aria 16, bg vocals and bass, Jonah 16, drums. Partially inspired by The Warning, Quinn discovered TW when she was 11, and taught herself guitar by learning Dany's parts from Queen Of The Murder Scene.
Recommend their official videos for Broken Glass or Daughters of Witches.
Yes Freeze The Fall is a great band, Survive cover is awesome 😃😃
FTF is so damn good. Been following them since seeing their cover of Evolve in 2023.
On a video where she talks about the overuse of auto-tune and other effects which the band cannot keep up with live? FTF is being pushed too hard too soon and someone is telling them they need a lot of after-effects on their music (probably not surprising, considering who they're signed with). Their live act can't keep up at all. They need a few years to mature their sound and they need to stop listening to whoever's telling them they need the over-use of post production.
Thanks for reacting to the sisters! This band is the future of rock music.
And the Future is here!!!
During one of the interview videos I saw they were asked what their favorite song to perform was. All 3 shouted in unison Automatic Sun! Are you shocked?? I hope this is a sign of things to come from them.
Welcome back . . . You almost made my cut list . . 👍 . .

i see TWA are giving you great info on The Warning and they just keep getting better.. i want to celebrate another side of The Warning and that is they have inspired an 11yo Quinn to learn guitar to Queen Of The Murder Scene album and at 15yo started a band called Freeze The Fall with 14yo Aria and Jonah.
Quinn now 17yo vocals/guitar, Aria 16yo bass/vocals and 16yo Jonah on drums signed a distribution/promotion only deal with 604 Records shortly after the debut single Glitch was released.
be good to one another and ROCK ON !!
Yeah... I really hope that they'll do that extended outro every time they play Automatic Sun live from now on. Ever since I heard Automatic Sun for the first time, I have been thinking, that heavy outro deserves at least a double take, and they finally did it.
There are some heavy tunes on Keep Me Fed, like Sharks, and Apologize. Not that they are completely new to heavy, the title track on their concept album Queen of the Murder Scene is pretty darn heavy, especially the Teatro Metropolitan live version. There's a riff in there that gives me chills every time. Error has its heavy moments as well. The line between hard rock and metal is pretty blurry anyway.
They have done a couple of metal covers, Enter Sandman, and Atlas Rise by Metallica, for example.
I appreciate the comments on the band, the see through video, WAS COMPLETELY EXPLAINED BY YOUR TITLE AND EXPLENATION DURING THE VIDEO... I've seen this so many times it is reduculus, barely having the Ladies is all that I need... Loved your video and will tune in for more !!!
They're playing at an up coming festival and Jinjer is there. I need a Dany/Tatiana duet or collab, and then I can die😅.
I saw the warning in vegas with mammoth wolfgang vh and dirty honey. Those are pretty heavy rock. They held their own easy
A lot of people focus on their newer material and performances (Teatro Metropolitan, Pepsi Center and Pol’and Rock but forget about their earlier work from XXI Century Blood and Queen of the Murder Scene and the Lunario CDMX and Dakota bar concerts
Yeah, the strumming thing Dany does at the beginning above the nut on the guitar near the tuners is a fun effect... and you are right... it is basically never used in music. I play guitar and it is something you do sometimes when goofing around, but I never seriously considered using it in a song until I heard it done in one. Dopey me! It obviously works perfectly here! :-D
Great Reaction, you really need to check out "Hell You Call A Dream LIVE At the Pepsi Center concert" Dany Vocals are out of this world... and Ali's Bass lines Next Level. Of course Pau's Drumming is totally World Class as is The Warning 🔥🔥🔥
Yes, Yes "Hell You Call A Dream " live from the Pepsi Center" please react to.
Hi 100 percent agree they are hard rock they are 1 of the best bands in the word i have been a heavy metal fan for over 4 decades now seen and heard every legendary band you can think of
I really enjoy your reactions. This was a good one. There are two bands that I support because they ARE the future. The Warning, of course, but there is a new, young band from Canada to check out as well. Freeze the Fall is is amazing. If you heard them on the radio, and someone told you that this is three high school kids, you would bet the farm that it wasn't true. Give them a look, please. They are on a fast rise.
Thank you. They have a recording of Metallica's "Atlas, Rise" from Whiskey a go go. The song has a few time signature changes (I think pretty much anything between 2 to 10 fours or eights save 3, i.e. no waltz). The original is for two guitars ... but, you know TW, they manage. Ale at 14 killing it ... nuff said. th-cam.com/video/fhhG5EiFiyA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=iDQqA4uumHuozcGh

That’s a video floor. It’s a 20k room with three tiers. As others have said, the outro is extended from the original. I love it. I’m hoping that they will extend sections of other songs in future performances. No need to keep the songs to radio length live.

I wish TH-cam would lower their premium price because The Warning are so good live.

Definitely my current favorite. As for the production on these kinds of shows being full of lip syncing autotune, they had experience with that as much younger kids when they were on a Mexican daytime TV show. They had to lip sync and hated it so much they said never again. In defense of some of the artists, some of them could probably do it without all that fake production but the producers like to be in control of every aspect of the program and don’t really leave it up to the performers to decide. The Warning was extremely happy with the time and set they were given here.
Love 2 see u find warning tickets in the new year ❤ to crowd fund ???
Thanks for your reaction.
This appears one of the only times (or perhaps the only time) the band has extended the outro for Automatic Sun.
It's been reported that The Warning are currently working on preparations and ideas for their big headlining shows in Mexico this coming February.
In recent interviews, the ladies have unanimously declared Automatic Sun to be their favourite The Warning song. Perhaps they will keep the extended outro.
Remember that you were planing to do a vid with Pau singing. Dust to dust is a good one or if you want a bit more of an emotional vibe then 23 is good but if you want to be absolutly emotionaly broken then do breathe live from the pepsi center, but that one is just her on the piano and i would recomend saving it for later and start with one of the other two.

Not sure if you know, but The Warning did a collaboration with Band-Maid called Show Them.
If you need any more proof that they are playing live... catch the little mistakes that show up. This was a pretty flawless performance, but you do hear Ale miss the first 16th note during the middle "quiet" breakdown. Rare for her to ever goof... but yeah... it just proves that they are human... and that they really play live. ;-)

One great thing about this video is the comments. It is clear there is a hunger for real musicians playing real instruments, instead of armies of twerking, pole-humping dancers and lip-synching.

I would love to see your reaction to a band like Sumo Cyco.
The warning is an amazing band. I fact my favorite modern one. But they stand at difficult crossroads. They can go full metal as some fans want them to. But on Spotify, their most played song is More, the least metal one in the last album. So I think they will try to stay in between pop and metal and maybe a little more spread in the style of the songs would be a good thing, wouldn't it?
This isn't talentless Rap! Or Pop where they don't even play instruments 👎 This is The Warning! 100% Talent!!!🤘
