@@byronsmothers8064 This is not munchkins, trying to cheat unnoticed isn't politics, but breaking the rules. Not saying, that a player here did that, but just to oppose that logic.
I remember feeling embarrassed for thinking I could steal it and him snatching the card. A simple explanation of why I couldn't steal it would have sufficed. This might be an example of the mannerism that a previous commenter mentioned come off as rude or salty. But then again, me just reaching a grabbing could be considered rude.
So another thing about Gisela...The Painful Quandry stuff has been pointed out, but her damage prevention works differently. She doesn't half the damage you/you'r permanents take, she *prevents* half the damage rounded up. Which means if soemthing would deal 3 damage it actually only does 1(and not 2 like it happened in this game).See that quite a lot, so wanted to point it out. Anyway love the additional Video each week
MVP Victor. Such a smart player threat assessment wise. Pounding on Devan early to try to keep him in check. Steve unfortunately made a really poor decision with that Pernicious Deed play. All it did was wipe Victor's board leaving Zacama on an empty board.... wowza...
Great game! I always really like when there is a good old attack with creatures edh game. And, Radha is one of my favorites, so it's always a good time to see that deck out and about. When I can get it going I really like Tilonalli's Summoner and Might of the Masses in Radha. The summoner especially just lets you dump all your mana, make little fireball guys, and then get it back.
@@seanusselsor9954 I would disagree you never know...had it not been 10 dmg each the reclamation stage may not have felt important...mistakes no matter how small incredibly change games and decisions
Gisella as a Commander is the most fun I have playing EDH. The hoops you have to jump through to get the ramp and card advantage are a bit rough, but booming the table for hundreds of damage is already great.
Steve messed up himself. He could've been farther ahead had he not mixed up his Graveyard/Exile after popping Pernicious Deed. He would've had the Deed and Elephant Grass in his graveyard which would've done wonders with stopping people from hitting him so much. Sadly he had his deed and I presume his elephant grass in exile after he noticed they should be separated when he finished resolving Buried Alive. Also he never recast the Lotus Petal from his yard each turn there after so he must have accidentally put that in exile too.
I'm surprised at the Spore Frog activation instead of blocking with Muldrotha because he can't block flying creatures, but can block the primordial, then try and find an answer the next turn
Since I was the guy playing against him, I got to say I did notice the mannerisms being a little salty, but I didn't take it personally. He was just sitting pretty with his free bounce effect that I didnt know how to deal with. I respect his game play decisions and the game was still fun with him, and that's all I could ask for.
With the recent influx of sets and supplemental products, I was finding that my deck techs were quickly being outdated. That, coupled with people commenting with "Why isn't X or Y in the list" when the list came out before those printings, I just kind of lost interest.
When gisela replaced the damage from warstorm surge, should it round up the prevention of the damage leaving the surge deal just 1 damage instead of 2? Asking for a friend
Wouldn't Victor win if he just equips the Helm on the copy of the Primordial? He would get the Primordial trigger, taking Gisela out of the way, and also the Warstorm Surge trigger, to hit directly Devan or kill Michiko
When Victor swung his primordial at Devan, why did Steve fog the combat? Devan was the biggest threat with the gisela and Steve was going to be lethaled by Devan. I'm so confused
I believe the Muldrotha player made a big mistake when he activated the Pernicious Deed for X=7, I would've waited until I had 9 mana and take out the zacama, or don't activate it at all, since that gave the Jodah player a huge advantage over the rest of the board.
Steve made so many misplays it hurt, he's playing muldrotha and he barely used it let alone the cheap spells in his yard (or even the free lotus petal)
He had the mana to kill Zacama with Pernicious Deed but passed it up to play a Viscera Seer that immediately died to Zacama! I was screaming at the screen!
He played out his hand then killed it with Deed, never played petal from his graveyard. and only cast his commander once. I wonder if it wasn't his deck maybe
This game had quite the misplays and errors. First of all Victor: who plays a Sakura Tribe Elder and doesnt sac it for a land? A land is always better than the mana you get from Radha for swinging with a 1/1. Steve could have easily bought himself another turn by just blocking the primordial with muldrotha and using the frog in Devans turn. And well the painful quandery thing ...
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight doesnt work with Painful Quandary. Quandary cause life loss and not damage
Good catch! I think they didn't quite notice that in the game sadly.
Also, also......the PREVENTED damage from gisela is rounded up. Thus the war storm trigger should've only dealt one dmg not 2
Mtg multi-player is just as much politics & strategy, a well delivered bluff can be a big influencer in a win
@@byronsmothers8064 This is not munchkins, trying to cheat unnoticed isn't politics, but breaking the rules. Not saying, that a player here did that, but just to oppose that logic.
Wait, would the counterspell have triggered Quandary as well?
9:45 I love the quick-grab from Devan.

Yavimaya elder resolved in the wrong order u get 2 lands the draw a card because the draw is an activated ability and the 2 basic lands is a trigger
Not gonna lie, I paused the video at that point to see if anyone had commented on this, and you didn’t disappoint lol

Thanks for calling me the MVP!
love the card overlays, they are essential for understanding physical games.
Victor shouldn’t have taken 20 from Painful Quandry and Gisela. Gisela only doubles damage not loss of life.

Devan is so on-theme by playing Ramos with a Genos playmat and Dragon sleeves
Love Jodah, was glad to see a game with him in it.
Fun game! Exciting to see Ramos go off and be so flexible lime that, and Gisela is ALWAYS a fun time! :)
Thanks for the extra games this month. Good work!
So... Didn't Devan have to discard to the Plaguecrafter? And since when does Gisela double life loss?
She doubles damage dealt to opponents, and halves damage dealt to you by your opponents. Thats why
@@seanusselsor9954 He's talking about painful quandary. It is a life loss effect, gisela doesn't double it.
Damage causes loss of life but loss of life is not damage. The painful quandary should have only cost 5 instead of 10
@@MultiSkywarp Oh okay. They probably just made a mistake. Besides he lost to commander damage, so it wouldn't impact the game all that much

Obsessed with John's playmat! Where is it from?
legionsupplies.com, Item number PLM043, or google "star playmat legion" and it should come up

Devan's second land was an island, not a forest. I mean, forests are truly superior to islands in every way, so I understand how you'd mess that up.
Excellent comment
I guess I was projecting onto Devan, wishing he played a forest.
MTG Muddstah makes sense
Now that is a funny joke.
Lol John was not happy about Steve siting on the spire frog
Thanks for the extra episode!
When does the extra extra episode go up?
Somewhere between Monday and Thursday.
Yo that devan player totally displayed salty mannerisms towards the end, and then ended up winning. What a crappy person to play with.

Hooray for Timmy Magic! Whoever assembles an arbitrarily large amount of mana and slams six drop creatures on repeat first wins
I'm surprised to see people forget about the "discard a card" portion of Plaguecrafter's ability...
A lot of people forget about this because there are a lot of similar effects without the discard a card clause plaquecrafter has.
that ramos deck seems pretty brutal, so many punishing effects
That Genos playmat is epic
Steeeve dont stack your graveyard on your exile
Mason Rocco I know right I was watching like Steve wtf are you doing
Why did you stop making deck techs and other related commander style videos?

My warlord! So close; she just be avenged!
When gisela replaced the damage from warstorm surge, should it round up the prevention of the damage leaving the surge deal just 1 damage instead of 2? Asking for a friend
It rounds the prevented damage up. So it would have prevented 1.5 rounded up is 2 so the warstorm surge would hit for 1.
Jack Dowey there was a misreading of it at the table.
Dang was really looking to see that Ramos list.
When activating Yavimaya Elder, the player searches for the lands first, then draws.
Was about to comment on that, too. An easy way to remember the order is to think of STD, Search-then-draw
no news for that ramos decklist? curious to see the whole deck
That Genos Playmat is sweeeeeet.
I dont think I've asked this or if its been asked before but what are all the commander decks do you have Andrew and are you working on anyone one?
Wow I was thinking of a warlord deck funny how u post this
So much power in this table

Sweet Full art Muldrotha!
Oh if only Steve resolved the spore frog when Victor stole all them big bois
Great background music
Why is painful quandary dealing 10 instead of 5?
The table though Gisela was dealing double damage with it, but I think they were wrong in the end. I was narrating how they played it out.
Because they misread Gisela and didn't realize she only doubles damage, not life loss.
why is Steve exiling the frog?
Are those tiny playmats?
Devan forgot to discard to the plaguecrafters trigger

Preventing an odd amount of damage with Gisela rounds the prevention down, meaning you round the final result down, not up. 1 damage=0 damage! :)
I'm just wondering how Ramos found itself on the plane of Dominaria.
Well, never been this early before. Hi Muddstah!!!

that's an awfully wet forest there, isnt andrew?
Devan does not discard to the plaugecrafter
Rules mistakes _REALLY_ favored Devan this match. Probably just honest mistakes, but I wonder how the game would have gone otherwise.
I hate it when you're in a position where you can only take out one opponent while leaving a different opponent in the game
