I loved the plum blossom design as soon as it came out! A little feminine for me but the size makes up for it.
Same! I love the whole Lucky Spring collection but the plum blossom pieces are the most wearable for me.

Carol-both pieces are lovely-but the sweet 16 motif is stunning on you!!! I am planning on purchasing this for our 25th wedding anniversary which is late in the year. Do you still prefer wearing this shorter? I plan on wearing it this way more, but it is nice to have the option to wear it longer, depending on your outfit.
Yes I wear it shorter probably over 90% of the time 😄

Ooh so exciting! You’re going to love it 🌸💖 Yeah on it’s own I probably will wear it on the longer setting. I considered getting it lengthened too but I think I’m going to leave it the way it is.
I just returned the VCA plum blossom necklace
I have the matching earrings (like you Carol). For our wedding anniversary coming up, hubby wanted to gift me a piece of jewellery, so I picked the necklace to go as a set.
It layered quite nicely with my onyx vintage alhambra necklace. However, on its own, it looks quite washed out on my skin tone (I’m quite fair). The earrings, on the other hand, go well against my black hair.
On closer inspection, I noticed the thickness of the plum blossom pendant is very thin compared to the earrings (same style) and the alhambra design. The difference is very pronounced. No wonder wearing it on my chest, it just sat very flat & unflattering.
Tbh, I’m not surprised since this plum blossom necklace is VCA’s newer creation, quality isn’t up there for the money we paid. Don’t know why, lately, some luxury houses decide to cut their quality, put up their prices & expected clients to go along with it. Sorry, but they are not taking me along on their rides lol
Took my business elsewhere…Princess Flower collection from Roberto Coin is beautiful & reasonable price point. My appointment with SA is coming up…still decide between MOP or Malachite Princess Flower necklace (small size)
Sorry it didn’t work out for you. I went to check on mine and yeah the pendant is slightly thinner than the earrings but it doesn’t seem like a big difference to me. I wonder if there is some variation from piece to piece. Unfortunately I don’t have any vintage alhambra pendants to compare it to but it’s thicker than my sweet alhambra pendant at least. The Roberto Coin pendant is very nice too. I’m curious what you end up picking. And happy anniversary to you and your hubby!

It is a little weighty but not overly so. It’s still very comfortable to wear.

Hi Carol! I really really like the plum blossom necklace! Would you say it's the same size as a vintage or sweet if you were to compare it to an Alhambra? I haven't had my first piece from vca yet. I would think my first piece should be Alhambra so it's more of an iconic piece but after seeing the plum blossom necklace I feel so in loved lol.
It’s pretty much the same size as the vintage alhambra, maybe just a hair smaller because the length between opposite ends of the leaves on the clover design is longer than the equivalent length on the plum blossom design.

I am not part of the luxury community, but I personally think the Plum Blossom is much prettier than the Alhambra design. If I were to be given the choice, I don't think I would chose the Alhambra, because it is not a design that appeals to me. (If this were not a brand name, I wouldn't really think twice about it.) Having said that, in this video, I liked your sixteen motif necklace best of all in this video.
Haha yeah I’m really drawn to the 16 motif too. Generally for the Alhambra pieces I have, it’s not the clover design I like but the other aspects of the piece.
Hi Carol! How are you liking the 26 motif so far? Can you do reviews and wear it more?:) im having hard time reviewing it since I usually like to try it first before pirchasing especially for an item this expensive.
Yeah sure I’ll be reviewing it shortly. So far I like it but with a few caveats:
1. When worn wrapped twice, I find myself adjusting it quite a bit because sometimes both layers overlap and instead of 16 motifs it’s essentially only 8.
2. Once again with the double wrap, sometimes the center motif on the shorter layer doesn’t lay flat and kind of stabs me in the neck.
Having said that, I do prefer wearing it wrapped twice instead of as a long necklace.
@@CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC I was at the boutique yesterday and he said I can get this lengthen or shortened depends on your liking. If ever ill make it longer since the 20 motif that I tried is already a tight chocker when worn double
Yeah that is an option but I personally like the spacing between each motif the way it is. You could also add a chain extender if you want it to be longer but don’t want to alter it permanently.

Thanks! 💖 I got them from the NYC 5th ave location. The plum blossom necklace I got once it was released and the 16 motif necklace took just under 6 weeks to arrive after I placed a deposit down. My SA had quoted me 4-6 weeks so it was pretty accurate.
@@CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC, thank you. Ive been waiting for mine on the 16 motif for almost 2 yrs now and this is in Shorthills. They told me this is not even in production and thats why they are not getting anything:(
I’m pretty sure the Short Hills location is not owned by VCA and that’s why their stock is not as good. I used to shop there but switched to the 5th ave one for that reason. I had asked about the yellow gold guilloche bracelet at the Short Hills location way back and even though they said it’ll take half a year, it’s now been over a year and I’ve heard nothing but crickets and I’ve since bought the bracelet from the website instead. I’ve also seen the necklace on the website a few times recently if you want to check once in a while to see if you get lucky.
Also wanted to add that I always ask my 5th ave SA to ship me the items so I pay NJ tax instead of NYC tax.

Haha yeah I know! 😨 The price for the white gold pavé version is even more insane. My jaw dropped when I saw the price 😂
