I love how the No More Heroes melody only starts and never finishes. The No More Heroes melody has always been something that represents Travis' certainty in battle - it's basically the song that plays in his head the entire game. So to have it play in this fucked up state fight at the end of Travis Strikes Again, but incomplete, it's like his killing senses are coming back to him mid-fight, but something's wrong with them. I love it.
yeah there was a GhenryPrez video that talked about this called "Deadly Individualism Travis Strikes Again" actually I'll just link it for you th-cam.com/video/kFo2Mevts0Y/w-d-xo.html
He's in conflict. He didn't want to kill Dr. Juvenile because of the attachment he felt throughout the Death Drive games he experienced, but still felt that he had to in order to free her and himself from the prison of the CIA Death Ball that they were both in.
Ever since the cold war, legend has it. if the transmission ever stopped, it will signal Russia to launch a nuclear attack. But that's just a myth, right?...
I really like the way that Travis’ theme only plays in an incomplete way during the fight, cuz it feels like Travis’ bloodlust is returning in full, but due to what he learned about Dr Juvenile, he’s hesitant and doesn’t want to kill her, so it feels like he’s trying to repress the theme from playing in full
I know that most of the theme is some radio transmission mixed with sirens blaring, but this might be one of my fav NMH themes just cus it feels so intimidating in a weird way
Compared to the other boss themes, this one is honestly really creepy and dark. Travis’ theme even sneaks in there as well but it’s stuck in just the first few beats because for once he doesn’t want to kill someone, especially someone like Dr. Juvenile who’s been through hell and back. And the use of UVB-76 in the background just makes it all the more creepy. It’s what that buzzer noise was at the beginning and the talking in the background comes from said radio broadcast.
Something about fuzzy, low-quality siren noises like the one at 0:01 always freak me out. The hairs on the back of my neck bristle like something really bad is about to happen.
It’s something old used to warn people about danger for years and years, awakened after who knows how long to warn you now. There is danger, and it is old. It should scare you lol.
I freaking love this boss fight. And this song is hitting on every pain receptor of my body, both through themes and sound. It really feels like Travis does not want to kill Juve
It is an outrageously easy fight, all things considered. My fight took a little over 3 minutes on Bitter with no deaths and the NMH theme kicking in at the end felt great.
What a drag of a theme Someone (Literally) Stuck In The Past Vs Someone Who's Been Forced to Understand Them Unlike the Sheepmen, who's theme basically celebrates and calls out for midboss bloodshed, this theme feels confused. It's interesting to see how Travis' and Juvenile's clash really just ends up feeling begrudgingly anti-climactic; all because of the understanding they've sorta "accidentally" reached and the real darkness Juvenile harbors.
@@TheyCallMeContra he's stuck in a perpetual loop. This one target he doesn't want to kill, because of the many games he grew up playing that were made by the same person. He's conflicted, but deep down he knows what must be done to break free.

In short, he for once doesn’t want to kill someone. He doesn’t feel motivated at all to kill someone, especially someone like Dr. Juvenile
@@BrickFighter13 He killed his heroes.
No more heroes.
Fun Fact: The beeping and talking in this comes from a mysterious russian transmition(UVB-76) that has been playing for years.
Holy shit, that's not unsettling at all.
Suda51 is about unsettling though sounds Bout right
It was made for this beat

Dr. Juvenile....had a hard life....

best use of the motif hands down

someone just hijacked the uvb76 radio transmission and played bad apple on it, thus reminding me of this banger
Probably my favorite bossfight.
I really liked the synergy to its attacks.
2:53 that might just be the most abrasive synth ive ever heard
these frequencies really hit the fight or flight receptors
Shame you are likely not gonna hear the No More Heroes theme in normal gameplay. I finished the fight in more or less two minutes.
Mild player detected.
If it makes you feel better I have already started a new game on Bitter and will not level up or swap out to Badman.
Spicy player here, still beat the guy in like 2 minutes on 1 life.

Anyone else find this song quite unnerving?
Yeah totally, especially when you know the myth of the Russian radio station used in this track
The part that gets me is when NMH comes in. It never finishes. Travis is hesitating. He doesn't want to kill Juvenile
It went from “Oh, ok!” after *WHITE SHEEPMAAAAAAN* to visible concern on the second siren.
I immediately recognized the Buzzer station noise LMAO kinda freaked me out
sounds like something I'd hear in Phantom Dust
Man, I love Phantom Dust.
ok jobin.

haha yea
So, what is the significance of all the bosses being sheep?
Sheep were the first mammals to be cloned, which is a subject very relevant to the plot.

This kinda sounds like the buzzer from that one Russian radio station I keep hearing about and they remixed it into a song.
It's that very same one, just at a lower pitch.
