Oh man, as a dub watcher it's awesome to see you guys react to it. Kinda sucks that this video didn't have any DIO clips cause Patrick Seitz did such a good job with the character. I'd honestly argue that Patrick's voice is on par with DIO's JP VA, it's so good. Nice video overall, can't wait to start Part 4!

If Alicia and Ant are gonna react to dubs they should react to the dub of Ghost Stories. It’s hilarious because the dub crew lost the script so they pretty much improvised the lines most of the time. From calling a little boy a dumbass to being racist against a black ghost bunny (not kidding with that last one).

When I heard Patrick Gilbert (aka Richard Epcar) voice Joeseph Joestar, I knew who exactly where I knew him from, but it had been decades. It was his really funny version of E Honda in "Street Figher 2: The Animated Movie, makes hearing the dub worth it for me. Batou from Ghost in the Shell is also great role.
I also just took a wiki dive and turns out that in SF2 the movie E Honda was voiced by Daisuke Gōri...who was the second voice actor for Heihachi Mishima (Tekken 3-6). But it's Unshō Ishizuka who took up the mantle of Heihachi after Daisuke's passing, so he's the Heihachi we're all hearing in Tekken 7 and recognising in JJBA.

So happy you're gonna keep watching JoJo! Part 4 is my absolute fav, mainly for the BIG BAD for the show feels the most realistic and plausible villain.

Part 3 Joseph (Raiden from Mortal Kombat/Akuma from Street Fighter V), Polnareff (Vega in SF/Hazama and Terumi in Blazblue), Kakyoin (Ryu from SF/Gohan from Dragon Ball), Enya (Rita Repulsa from Power Rangers), Captain Tenille (Seth from SF/Kano from MK), ZZ (car stand user is also the narrator and voices Jin Kisaragi/Hakumen in BB), Steely Dan (Kilik from Soul Calibur), N’doul (Ike in Fire Emblem/Smash Bros), Darby Senior (Liquid Snake from MGS), Darby Younger (the Smash announcer/Joker in Persona 5), Holly (Tsubaki and Kokonoe from BB), Suzie Q (Julia in Tekken/Orihime in Bleach), Mariah (Annie in Attack on Titan, Squigly in Skullgirls, Kasumi in Dead or Alive, and Litchi in BB), and DIO is still Patrick Seitz (Ragna from BB.)

JoJo's is one of those anime that has a dub that's nearly on par with the sub in terms of the expressions and line delivery, yeah the writing can be off the mark sometimes but every single actor kills it no matter what

I think my favourite part of the English dub is the fact the VA for Joseph is also Raiden from Mortal Kombat. So it's great hearing all this crude swearing from the voice of a God haha
The cool thing is that the guy who does Josephs voice is the same guy who voices the joker in the injustice games and also raiden the god of thunder from mortal kombat
By the way, there's a pretty old abridged series that uses the ova for part 3! it's made by someone that works at team four stars, who in turn made the "in five minutes" series that you guys saw.( Pretty sure his name is Antfish)

Originally Hol Horse was meant to join the crusaders, there’s even official artwork of him with the team, hence why he made more frequent appearances.
That's simply a rumor and Araki never confirmed this.

@@ghostspider2056 Such artwork does exist and it's an official cover for the VOlume (I think) where Enya fight was going in the Hotel. In context - makes sence. Without a context - some might think that Hol Horse was originally suppose to join Crusaders.
From what I know, Araki _considered_ it for a short time, but decided against it.
He did put him on the cover with the others once though as a test, which might be the artwork you're referring to

Yeah, The Sun episode was the worst for the Engrish followed by High Priestess’s second episode, (the Oh My God in that one and the D’oh shit! in The Sun’s are still really good), but there is a reason for that: lip flaps. When the Japanese audio was recorded, lip flaps weren’t something too important to match. If you watch Japanese Old Joseph’s Engrish in a compilation, you’ll see that the lip flaps don’t match up with the audio in a few places. In English dubbing by today’s standards though, lip flaps are everything. It affects the script localization and the delivery. So in trying to keep with the Jojo memes, it just comes off as lacking in those aforementioned episodes because they need to match up with the flaps. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
19:03 It’s still Lali Ho in English. Mannish Boy is voiced by Tara Sands, best known for 4Kids Mokuba and Bulbasaur. Officially confirmed, the dub threw in a TFS reference into the script. When Mannish Boy gets caught killing a scorpion with his diaper pin, he says “Crap baskets!”

Have you checked out the Kaguya dub moments? It has a bit of a different vibe but it's pretty solid. Especially the narrator who is absolutely hilarious.

Edit: Yeah, uh, due to some information that's recently brought to my attention, definitely hold off on my request. Some of the jokes in those videos involve parts 4, 5 & 6. So, no spoilers.
Eh, there’s a good chunk of Part 4 and even Part 5/6 jokes that are going to go over their heads. While Parts 1 and 2 Abridged were pretty self-contained, the two sets of Part 3 Abridged weren’t. Definitely would hold off until at least the first episode of Part 4 to at least give those jokes context.
EDIT: seems per the Patreon they already started Part 4 so that’s that on both accounts.

For anyone who thinks Avdol's voice sounds familiar. That's because he's voiced by Chris Tergliafera, who's most known for his roles as Gundam Tanaka and Ryomi Hoshi from Danganronpa 2 and Danganronpa V3.
You should check out the OVA dub, it’s got some great hammy voice acting that would be fun to see your reactions to.
