Yeah a fan would have been a good idea lol. People that have never ridden this often don't understand how much of a factor the elevation is on those gnarly climbs, pushing that hard at 12,000' is no easy task.

I took it off. I was turning this bike into just a race bike and was going to build a W up as a hard enduro bike with a fan and everything but that didn't happen so here we are.
What a dope... every bike needs a fan. 😂

@@woodysrockspyro6436 hahaha. Moto bikes need one? Desert race bikes? If I kept this one where it’s good it wouldn’t need one. I’ve never overheated in a harescramble.
@highlandcycles I was being silly... halfway. My moto bike has one. The dunes are hard on bikes and it goes to the trails occasionally too. Cheap insurance. Just takes a minute in a race to screw up a hill climb or technical section and overheat your bike trying to dig your way out of a mess.

@@single.tracked I have a 24 EX300 (300 xc equivilant) and a 24 GG EC450 (KTM 450xcfw equivilant)
I just spent 2 weeks riding all over Montana. the 4t's don't "Bounce" as much to me, they track better thru the choppy rocks, and i think overall you have to use the clutch less. and once you start to fatigue, i think it is way easier to be lazy on the 4t.
I also spent the day riding single track in Colorado on my b-day last month. It was awesome!!
I'm going to have to design and build a pump sprayer that hold like 1/2 gal of water with spray jets in front of if the radiators.

I know those trails...the first one is a doozy! You hit all the good trails up there...love it! I did horseshoe on a KTM 500 and let me tell you it was brutal. Much much prefer my new 300. 😊

Great video as always. We are headed to the same area for four days of riding in two weeks!!!! Can’t wait. Been there a few times and always a great time. Planning on taking a shot at horseshoe since we missed it last year when we were there.

Too tall. I just geared it up and took the fan off because I was just going to use it for racing then I did this.
