As a fellow leftover devourer, life is good. Thank you so much for the update!
As for getting the internet to work... there are workarounds if any of you are clever with computers or networking. You'd need to get a local to help you find the necessary devices though.
For example, they do make Wi-Fi extenders that have Ethernet out ports. Alternatively, it is possible to turn one person's PC into a wireless share point, run an ethernet cable from that pc to a network switch, then split that off to separate cables to each room.
It's impractical, but not impossible.
