Lovely couple and fantastic artists. I haven’t seen Nicole yet onstage, but I did see Etienne in Don Carlos. My kids are nearly 30 now, but I well remember how hard it was to leave them for even a few days. My wife and I went to Glimmerglass Opera, and we called home many times using the new mobile technology - every call was about $10.
Interesting interview just having watched them in the new "Faust" in a live stream from Vienna last night. Wonderful to hear some really good singing again (her Marguerite even had a trill in the Jewel Song) after such a dearth. Dupuis an excellent Valentin too. Both have beautiful, well produced voices. Brave to have taken on that production though!
