We just had our first competition of the season this past weekend - we had so much tea spill! Dancer forgot a costume for a routine and another dancer didn't even show up to competition! So yea - we still placed even though all that drama! Love your vlog! so much fun! how exciting! :)
I’ve done both All Star and studio dance, and I have to say there is something extremely special about All Star. You feel super connected w/ your team, and you also have the goal of Summits Or Worlds. So much fun🤍

That's crazy! I just went to Milwaukee for rainbow dance competition. It was so fun but I hate waking up at 5:00 am. We got a clean sweep so it was worth it! It was so fun but the judges really only liked contemporary and lyrical
tips: •pack what you need, try not to bring to much •bring a sewing kit for costumes •if you have a team jacket, bring it good luck! (p.s. you’re not alone bc when i had my first comp, i was scared) 👍🍀
pack everything you need the night before and MAKE A LIST!! but also, just remember to have fun, no matter what the score is :) as long as you feel good coming off stage you’re winning (but yeah, placing feels good too haha)
Some do and some don’t! It just depends on the company you are with, where you are located, where the comp is located and etc. But most ballet dancers compete in different styles too so the there is that factor as well-
@@yourmadre7951 oh ok! but I'm most scared because everyone that I know (they dance) they tell me a lot of dancers also travel across the country to nationals- and im a scaredy cat so even though its my dream, I would much rather stay at home-
@@vhgghgg7666 yeah most competitions are in different states and what not. I think you would absolutely love it if you went! I dance and traveling to different places is one of my favorite parts! You get to see new places, meet new people, and embrace new cultures!
